Everytime we visit this place it just takes our breath away. Getting to any of the gates is a bit of a nightmare, but once you are in , you tend to forget all the hurdles you go through to get here :) Wish that the tourism dept. starts to think about improving the city and the roads, traffic sense... I still can't believe I was there. I have pictures of it to prove I was there. But, even seeing it in person, it is hard to believe you are there. Even having read lots about it beforehand, I don't think I was prepared for its magnificence. It is really a WOW, pinch me moment. My guide suggested we go... More

This is a must see at least once in your lifetime attraction. The Taj Mahal is such a beautiful site - the symmetry, the architecture, so amazing! Feb 2014

Beautiful. Breathtaking. A plus visit of you ever make it to India. Go early in the morning so you can see it before and after the sunrise.

If you plan to come to Agra in December be prepared for heavy fog. First day we tried to go we were unable to see Taj due to the VERY dense fog. Luckily we were staying for more than one day and was able get a clear beautiful day the next. We had paid for a local guide and I... More

There are no words to describe this place. It is so breathtakingly beautiful. It's a shame there are so many people, it would have been so special to be there without the crowds.

Even though there were a ton of people, they get an estimated 85,000 daily basis, it was worth it. It is difficult to find words to describe the feeling of actually being there. I had wanted to visit this place for some years and I didn't think that would become a reality. This place was the highlight of my 12... More

I visited in Dec of 2015 as a US citizen and got VIP tickets which ensured an easy, breezy nearly zero wait time to go upstairs and inside. Locals have a very, very, very lengthy line. Bring socks or small change to pay for booties to go over your shoes. The interior is not nearly as impressive, and you are... More

A truly magnificent declaration of eternal love. You will easily get lost in the romance of Shah Jahan's deep love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. I was completely mesmerised! Entrance: I had a guide to advise me but feel I could have easily have done this alone. However, she did prompt me to leave my excess belongings in the car... More

Yes this is a beautiful building, nice surrounding walls and gardens. But as often you see the perfect picture whilst it sits in a filthy suburb, the south gate area could be scary to some, with the tight harassement. It is worth to go on the other side of the river to enjoy that view, by sunrise or sunset.
