For me, I kept saying to myself "I can hardly believe we are actually here" and we kept looking at each other and saying "where are we?" and then answering again and again "The Taj Mahal!!" If you know that feeling or have said something similar in your experiences, then that would be one of the best descriptions I could... More

You need 2 hours to walk the grounds take your time. The tour groups move through fast so there is plenty of time to catch that special photo.

When in Agra you just have to visit. We were up very early to travel to the Taj Mahal to see the sun rise and colour the whole building in a rosy hue.- It really is an incredible building with workmanship to match. Everyone knows the romantic story behind the building and to stand in front of it is something... More

Saw it first in a Viewmaster when I was a child, and the real thing is so, so much more than you expect. Serene, enormous, and so gorgeous close up.

Its true. You cannot help but gasp at something you have seen pictures of but in real life it takes your breath away. In photos and videos you do not realize the scale of this truly remarkable structure. It is huge. A magnificent feat of engineering and craftsmanship. You just have to see this to appreciate it fully.

We spent nearly 3 hours inside. Felt great. Some repair work still going on.There should be more strict frisking and stricter security by some special police force. The security seemed slack. The guests were not following the rules of No Photography inside the Taj ,especially of the tomb..The place was crowded. The access road should be widened for easy accessability..

See it to believe it. Do take a guide to know the little stories, secrets, architectural differences in different parts and more. It is very crowded so try to reach as early as possible. People do get there by 6.30. At 7.30, it was almost crowded. Keep 2-3 hours for the tour plus some time clicking and soaking in the... More
