I did the Agra 101 with Agra Heritage walks. We met at the Jama Masjid and the dissemination of information started with a history of Agra. The walk took us through the by-lanes of the city giving us glimpses of thepast peppered with stops for delicacies of each area. Kaleem is a mine of information and patiently explained the significance of each lane and stop we made. I would recommend this to all those who visit and are interested in seeing the soul of the city apart from the obvious attractions. A special thank you to Kaleem for his time and for patiently answering all our questions, which we had plenty of…

Had an amazing experience with Tahir going though inner streets of old walled city. Being a local from agra and an architect it is amazing how much a small 2 hour walk can reveal about the city, its past, present and possibilities. The architecture, socioeconomic landscape and conversation were highlight for me. We were accompanied by Anal Jha who was kind enough to give us a sneak of his mesmerising flute playing

We were able to meet Tahir and Kaleem from team Agra Heritage Walk, it was an honour to spend an entire day with them. We did three walks - Agra 101 -Tasting the best food, hearing stories about old Agra and looking at the architecture in old Agra City, with some untold stories that are not covered in Books or even Historians these stories comes from Tahir and Kaleem because they have lived their entire lives in Agra and the way they have explored the city I don't think anyone else can.
Rise of Mughals and Women of Mughals - A very intresting way of they weaving the stories. You get to visit impactful places and not only that Tahir and Kaleem make sure you feel that you are a part of something bigger and it's not just Agra's History, while talking to them it feels like you're part of something bigger and incredible.
They make sure you have fun and leave with best memories and encompassing memories of greatest conversation.
Somehow these walks are just not about learning history, it gives you a little bit time to reflect upon yourself and your life too and for me that was best part about Agra Heritage Walk.

I would personally recommend for anyone and everyone to take these walks. They are beautiful ❤️

Best,
Nikita

Tahir is a great guy to hang around with in Agra. His passion for the city comes across in his conversations and anecdotes about the city. We saw the church and tomb commissioned by Akbar. Both of them are not on the tourist map but completely worth the time to understand the syncretic culture of Agra and Akbar's contribution to the city. The statues of Queen Victoria and her companions gives us a sense of the city's importance during the British era. But the best part was the food, tea breaks and home cooked food at his place. Have a meal at Tahir's home and you will be moved by the warmth and large heartedness of the family alongwith stories of Agra. Make some time for Tahir and don't rush through Agra. It's a city to be soaked in at your own pace.

We had a private tour of the Taj done by Tahir and it was an incredible experience full of stories of days gone by. It was a personalised touch which added soul to the building and made it a memorable day for us.
Thank you for the wonderful tour Tahir!

We had a drive by in Agra during the peak of summers yet we had an amazing time exploring the city. Tahir took us to places with some of the best local food, we explored monuments across the city with their own little histories. One of the best thing about the walk is that you get an authentic & a nuanced historical context of Agra as a city which is completely missed if you visit only the Taj Mahal.
Also, the golgappas we had in Agra were the best we had.

We would have been clueless without this guide. The guide really gave us information that was nuanced and added a very good context to experiencing Agra and its History ..... The kids were very excited for this trip and were fascinated by the glorious yet unsung history that was hidden beneath the popular history and myths.

This was our second time in Agra, the first time being a very rushed affair. We did Mehtaab Bagh, Fatehpur Sikri, Taj Mahal, Handicraft walk and Agra Fort with Tahir and Anal from Agra Heritage Walks. It was such an enriching experience for us. We saw Agra and all the monuments in a completely new light. The lunch with Tahir's family accompanied by music was simply fabulous!! The view from the terrace top gives you a glimpse of Old Agra. The hosts were full of love and warmth. We also enjoyed walking the narrow bylanes and just passing by the old homes during our walks. If you want to actually experience the real Agra, do so with Agra Heritage Walks. Totally recommended!!!

Experiencing Agra with someone who has lived there for generations, who has lost himself in the bylanes as a child and found new stories as an adult. It was an enriching experience. Besides enjoying the local street chat, I had delicious homemade food at their lovely home, and chatting with their Ammi (mother) was lovely. Saw the Taj at Sunrise and later Agra fort. Etched in my memory are the wonderful conversations and anecdotes...
