Beautiful trees

Many tall trees were there and so this natural place attracts us. We went there and enjoyed, spend some time and took some photographs for the memory.

We went with a guide, not only for the walk but to see the birds and animals. It is a great walk, has a small museum, a bridge walk and a lookout tower. We saw many birds, Nilgiri Monkeys, Giant Squirrels and Wild Bison. The views from the top are also very good.

A walk in woods is a must to experience the pine ecosystem. A refreshing walk for couples in search of some "We" time. The view from the watch tower is good.

Was recommended to us by locals and was a delightful surprise. A small and easy trek amid nature with breathtaking views of ooty ( from the watch tower). Good for families with children too. There is a small informational section at one side which can be visited. Price is all inclusive ₹20 for adults & ₹10 for kids. Parking was... More

Cairnhill is located 7 kms away from Ooty, along the road leading towards Nanjanad, Avalanche,Munjoor, etc. Great place for trekking also an excellent picnic spot, must watch in day time. The entrance road to the hill is flanked by dense cypress trees. This reserve gets its name because of a Cairn, piled stone circle – a pre-historical burial site of... More

This place probably would be the most calm and truly close to the nature. We came to know about this place from team Adventura who does camping in ooty. A good walk/ trekking

Small trek route into the wilderness. Wooden canopy walk is interesting. Few models of leopard, giant squirrel, owl and butterfly placed on the tree. A watch tower. For who loves loneliness. Tribal museum is the same place. Entry fee and camera charges 10/- & 20/-.

When we went, we were the only family there. Canopy walk was good, kids will enjoy. Nice place to take photos. Tourism dept need to promote this place. This is located on the main road to avalanche, just after the Fern Hill.
