An hour of scenic ride in heritage train is rare. There are stretches where train puffs at 15-20 kmph allowing you to soak in the views and the environment. A fun ride specially if you are travelling with kids.

Fun train ride with plenty of scenery along the way. Very popular with tourists and limited first class seats, not that they are anything really special. This attraction is also an inexpensive thing for families to enjoy.

Absolutely loved it. My only recommendation for people visiting is to reach the railway station right at 8 am pt you might miss out on tickets and the other timings aren't that great.

You need to board the train from mettupalayam. Limited tickets and seats on first come basis. Starts early morning and takes around 3-4 hours to reach Ooty with stops in between. You can get down on the way and click snaps. Wonderful outing for kids.
