Prema Vilas Halwa shop located in 84,Town Hall Road, Madurai 625001. This is the only authenticate Halwa shop in Madurai and doesn't have any branch. You can get the superior quality halwa and serves as fresh and hot. It's a must visit place in Madurai.....

tasty traditional sweets and savories

Good for traditional south indian sweets and savories. It is also good value for money. You can not find their tasty thukkada in any other sweet stall. They are known for their Tirunelveli halwa and karasev.

very famous sweet shop in madurai... they are maintaining quality and taste for years...wheat halwa was very tasty also u can get hot halwa in evening... mixture was also very famous... rate was reasonable...

A HOT SNACK EVERY SUNDAY EVE!

This has been my favourite sweet for years together.
My dad get this halwa packed in leaf, every sunday.
After a nap, having this halwa make the evening pleasant.
One must try this for sure whenever you visit Madurai.

As soon as u get out of madurai station on the opposite is prema vilas.u get all kinds of sweets and savouries.but my favourite and a must try is hot halwa packed in a green leaf..I never miss this wen ever I visit madurai

Rather a sweet shop.. i quote it as halwa shop.. warm halwa served in teak leaf is d speciality.. d shop is crowded always as it is famous fa itz sweets..

Famous sweet shop

Prema vilas sweet shop is located just opposite to Madurai railway station. The shop had so many hot snack and sweet items to choose from. Bought some snacks and they were tasty.

My father used to take me when i was a kid those days; it was here they wrap a piece of hot halwa with a lotus dry leaf; with dropping ghee or whatsoever along with cashews and such stuff one would be very easily way-laid to be an addict of this shop forever, which means even now after 40 years we visit this place, we make it as a ritual to buy that, eat there along with a little karam they give (those days they give this with whole-hearted free, these days the shop workers twich their faces if we ask free but yet it is served).......
