Mr Jhonson is the best guide for Madurai. He knows the subject and share us all details about Minaxi temple and other places. With his guidence we were able to do Darshan at temple within 10 minutes. He ha explained us all history about god and temple during our temple visit. I strongly recommend him for Madurai guide as he is punctual, honest and wel informed.

Wonderful, informative, and thoughtfully structured tour that gave us wonderful insight into the history, spirituality and architecture of the temple. After a series of unfortunate experiences with other tour guides at temples around the country, our entire group was surprised by Johnson’s depth of knowledge, as well as his mastery of English that made the experience interactive and fascinating.

We would like to thank Mr Johnson for being our Guide for the Madurai Meenakshi Temple. His detailed knowledge of the temple, architecture, culture, legends and sculptures helped us in knowing the history, traditions and anecdotes related to this ancient city. He specifically showed and explained everything we needed to know in our visit. Since it's a huge place you would miss out on something or the other. Thank you for the time and effort in making our visit memorable.

Hi All,
I am Vinod from Chennai , I went to Madurai on a vaccation, Fortunately I meet Mr.Jhonson ( Guide ) in Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple on 25/07/2023.When he approached me, I first hesitated, However in few word of conversation, I came to understand that he is a Excellent Resource of great Information.
He took me around the temple, Explained me about the fact with artifacts, He gave each and every piece of information which refleted the carving, statues, & paintings with timelines.
Thank you Jhonson for such a great Information.

Mr Johnson was a great tour guide for the Meenakshi Amman temple. He was very informative by giving great detail on the history of Madurai and background info of the temple itself. Without his guide help, we would have missed many cool things about the temple. We enjoyed our visit with him!

Mr Johnson gave us a great tour of the Meenakshi Amman temple. We got a lot of information about the history and cultural significance of the temple and Madurai in general. He was great with my kids taking the time to answer all their questions patiently. Thanks to him, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Mr Johnson was happy to start the half day walking tour earlier as we knew it was going to be very hot. He was so helpful in explaining all about Hinduism and the workings of the temple. Without a guide I think we would have struggled to understand the different parts to the temple and would have missed out on a lot. We watched a newly married couple and their family being blessed by the priests. Afterwards we walked through the markets (banana, fruit and veg and textiles) on our way to the Palace. Chai and cold drinks were offered along the way and he recommended a great place for a lunchtime thali. Can’t recommend Mr Johnson enough.

If you are looking for an overview tour of Madurai - the extraordinary historic sprawling Meenakshi Temple with a gallery museum inside, Palace inspired by Italian architecture, and bustling markets - Mr. Johnson is a knowledgeable, kind native who takes pride in sharing his world with you in-depth pending how much time you have.
