Waste of time! Nothing to see. Third rate shops and restaurants that could make you sick. Most of your time will be spent in a traffic jam. Don’t be fooled by operators trying to make a quick buck. Avoid!

I like Lamb’s rock as it has nice through tea plantation and a nice walk through jungle at the end. Not very far from Ooty main city. 400-700 for Riksh for 2 hours.

It’s a good viewpoint. On a clear day can see good views. Do not take guides. It’s an easy walk and can can go yourself to the viewing point.

Lambs rock, a view point enroute to Dolphin's Nose is rocky projection on the hillside with a valley view when there is clear weather, which mostly not. There is a 10 minutes walk through the forest from the ticket counter to the view point . Walking track is marked and paved. There are locals at the gate offer to guide you to the view point for a charge rating anything from Rs.100/- to Rs. 500/- according to your bargaining ability and proficiency in Tamil. There is absolutely no need of any guide here and avoid being fooled. Ticket counter has a permanent problem of not having change to return your balance and they don't have any digital modes of payment. They charge Rs.30/- per adult and Rs.20/- per child.Carry exact change. If you accept to collect the balance on return ,you will find a different guy who will claim ignorance. Avoid this place ....

Calm n lonely place to spent quality time with family or couples. It’s a view point. We have to purchase tickets Rs 30 per adult and Rs 10 per kids. Binoculars are also available on Rent For Rs 50 only. Guides are also available for Rs 200, but you can find for Rs 100 next to ticket counter. This place is famous for shooting of few bollywood movies like Welcome, chor machaye shor, Raaz etc. you can have a clear view of Dolphins nose view point.

Lamb's Rock is another important site seeing point in Coonoor and it is on the way to Dolphin's nose. The rock is named after the former collector Lamb. Entrance fee. We have to climb the little hill (without proper steps) and on the top , we enjoyed the valley, tea garden, etc.

This is a considerable hike from the road. There are local guides who will ask you if you want them, I would recommend taking on otherwise there is nothing really to see and you do not understand the different points you are watching from the top.

We travelled to this place in the month of December this time its very cold and foggy all around, if you are expecting to see the sleeping beauty and and other points you might be disappointed. As the valley is covered with fog.
For me its the drive to this place which made the travel experience worth memorable. I opted for the guide, two reasons for it they tell you about the history of the place (again if you are a netizen you may google but I love listening from the locals) secondly they click beautiful pictures and especially when you are a couple and no one know around to click your photos. We spent good one hour here exploring the place. Its a small trek around the place so one suggestion put on good footwear. So when you are traveling to Coonoor do visit this place
