This garden has a minimal entry fee and very well maintained by the government. The park has a lot of varieties of flora plus a mini boating pond as well. The pond is not that clean though. The park is huge with a lot of stairs to go down to the lowest level of the park.

The Sim's park is located at the heart of the Coonoor city. The entry to the park is moderately priced at Rs. 40 per adult. The park is well maintained, with rows of beautiful flowers and plants.
There is a children's park as well, but is not that well maintained. The area at the end of the slides are dirty and cushions for safety are damp. The boating area is generally crowded. The best boating experience can be had at nearby Wellington lake and Pykara lakes.
They can one food/tea joint inside the park, but there isn't any.
All in all a nice park, where one can spend 60-90 mins walking around.

This park is truly beautiful and gives the safe and nice experience of Coonoor and Ooty’s valley experience. The tress are from all over the world and some are as old as 100+ years.
Visited it 2 evenings I was there. Nice 2-3 km walk possible inside.

It's a wonderfully maintained park with many really old trees. There are so many varieties and most of the trees have been neatly labeled showing the age. There are several unique trees and flowers. Don't miss to see the dancing dolls (search google for "dancing dolls flower" to get an idea).
The oldest tree here is from the year 1869!!
It's a place that will let you a learn a lot and at the same time, make you appreciate the nature more.

It is a botanical garden with very well maintained park. It has separate children's zone. Very picturesque place. Good photography can be done in a shiny morning. It may be little bit difficult for elderly to explore the whole garden, because it is on the vally of hill and going down the valley and coming back may be hectic.

Rightly so it is number one on list of things to see and do in Coonoor. We took a train ride from Ooty to Coonoor. From railway station the park is about 3 km away only. It has an entrance fees. As you enter, you are immediately attracted to it. It is very green, a lot of trees and on a hill side. A feast for the eyes. There are trees dating to one hundred years ago also. The flower beds are neatly maintained. A very clean place. It was bad luck for us, as all entrants were shunted out of the park as a honey bee hive had been burnt and honey bees were on the attack.

Very nicely maintained park. It goes down step by step down to a water body. Boats are available in the water way. The boats go under the bridge - that is fun. One can take the slope instead of steps slowly enjoying the trees also.
