Had a wonderful time with family in the falls. The walk to the falls was amazing as it was drizzling all the way

It was a great walk, although over very uneven ground, so some of my trip companions found it quite tiring. The falls (on a hot day) were incredibly crowded, so I would recommend not going when the weather is really hot, or potentially not going on a weekend if you can avoid it!

Loved the waterfalls. It is inside the thick forests of western ghats and we are allowed to go only in the forest department vehicles. I felt very much light and elated after the visit. I walked a bit along the water streams into the forests (not advised).
Definitely check if the waterfalls is open or not before visiting the place. It is recommended to go early to beat the crowd, with the crowd the experience might get spoiled.

Excellent get away, so close to the city of Coimbatore, yet so secluded and not so well known. The tourism department's arrangements are exemplary. No plastics;water, food, beverages, oil, shampoo banned. Vehicle entry beyond the check post is not permitted and visitors are transported into the forest area where the falls is situated. From the drop off point, a scenic walk to the falls, of about 11/2 kms, is not a very difficult one though it's a kucha road. Separate bathing areas, changing rooms, and toilets for men and women have been provided for.

Once you reach the place need to walk about 10 to 15 minutes inside the forest but worth a trek.

Waterfall is nice and cold. Lot of monkeys are there and can see symptoms of elephants presence inside the forest.

Really worth a visit in the city

Been there couple of months back with family, though had to trek for couple of kilometers , the tiredness went off as soon as we saw the waterfalls. good place for children and family to have a fulfilling bath. The place for dress change could be well maintained.

I visit Coimbatore every summer because my family lives there, but this was the first time I went to Kovai Kutralam. It was definitely worth visiting. The water is ice cold and fresh, and after getting wet you can dry off on the warm rocks. It is a short walk to get to the falls, but the trail is really beautiful. Many photo opportunities everywhere. There are lots of monkeys at the falls, and they don’t mind coming pretty close to people, so be careful if your belongings!

It is worth visiting. It is just uncertain when the falls is open and when it is not for the visitors due to water force. One can find out only visiting the place. Other than that it’s a good place to visit.
