Namaskaram,
I am from Canada. I stayed at Isha Yoga Centre Coimbatore on 12 July 2024 along with my elderly parents, 2 kids and sister. We were looking forward to a peaceful spiritual experience during our visit. During the visit to Yogeshwara Lingam near Adiyogi in the evening, we were advised to sit on the floor for few minutes. My 72 year old father sat down to the best of his ability. The main volunteer sitting near the Lingam kept directing my dad to change directions till it was to his satisfaction. The volunteer got frustrated and let out a sigh of irritation. At that moment I realized that even though the volunteer may be maintaining silence on the outside, he does not know to maintain silence , peace and calm on the inside. He should remember that a 70+ year old is not as agile as a 20 year old.

I do not think I would like to revisit the centre . Based on whatever little study I have had of Bhagvad Gita under a guru, I understand that if a person offers a leaf, flower or even water with utmost devotion that is enough to get them to the divine self. The attitude is more important than all the external practices.
My sincere request is that when you are training your volunteers , please be mindful of the attitude and inner self and not merely focus on the outer duties.
Thank you for your patience in reading .

Nice place to visit. One day tour program can be arranged. Reach there by arround 10 am visit yoga, meditation centre and take their free Lunch. After 4 pm you may go to the temple. Since no any shade you may have umbrella. The lazer show start by 7 20 pm for 20 minutes is a good experience. The breez of the open field . View of surrounding is good experience. There will be huge crowd during weekend days. But don't worry for parking facilities.

Peaceful place and breathtaking view. The place is so silent and cool to visit. If you need peace of mind, you must visit. The statue si the world's second-largest bust sculpture which is the best here.

I really liked the travel to and experience at the Isha yoga center. We set off from Thrissur at two'o clock in the evening. Reached the place by five. There were good refreshment outlets available. The Adiyogi statue was immensely calming and the surroundings were also very pleasant. The laser show at the end was superb and a must watch experience.

Our trip to Isha Ashram was something I was really looking forward to. I did quite a lot of research before visiting. As we entered the main gate I was disappointed to see the lack of greenery or tress around the Adiyogi statue. It was dry and dusty all around us.
Lots of work was going on to set up stages etc in preparation for Shivaratri celebrations.
Even though it has a lovely ambience, it seemed to lack the energy and vibrations of a temple. We visited many temples while in South India and Varanasi. For us the Isha ashram seemed to lack the same level of energy.
It is a great place to visit - but once only! The light show on Adiyogi was spectacular and entertaining.
The Pateeshwarar Temple nearby is definitely worth a visit. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and apparently 2000 years old!

Went with family member who has mobility issues and needs a wheelchair
Deeply disappointed that there is very little wheelchair accessibility
The steps up to Dhyanalinga for Abhishek are also not friendly to those with mobility issue. How difficult is it to build a ramp?
Few signs or directions for first time visitor
Chaotic and disorganized

The bullock cart ride to Adi Yogi statue is also difficult for physically impaired

Went with great hope and anticipation
Returned home dejected

Wake up Isha ! Get with the program. No point touting empathy when it is glaringly absent in your sanctum

Wonderful experience to be in the tranquil locales of Isha Ashram. Totally cut off from TV and other Social networks. The Lunch and Dinner experience was great with tasty satvik food served by volunteers. Essential visit to experience the joys of living in nature's own surrounding, Prior booking of accommodation is essential.

The ashram and it’s surrounds are beautifully maintained, soaked in the natural beauty of the Western Ghats and Velliangiri mountains and have incredible spots like the Dhyana Linga for meditation and inspiring AdiYogi statute.

There are free Yoga classes offered daily, and also free AUM chanting classes. A dip in the waters of the Suryakund and sitting for 15mins in the Dhyana Linga’s majestic presence will leave you feeling like a new being.

And if you are like some my friends who are planning to come to India for the first time, to visit Isha, come along without fear, English is widely spoken all the way from Coimbatore airport to here, the atmosphere is safe and easy to blend into.

A place of spititual cleansing. Enjoyed the holy dip in the cool pond. The meditation hall and the sanctitiy of the Dhyanalingam is overwhelming. The meditation rooms are also very refreshing.
A suggestion: They can make it easier for NRIs to do online reservation. They also need to seriously replace their staff who are taking telephone enquiries with volunteers who are more co-operative and humble. The present staff think and behave as they are Jaggi Sadhguru themselves.
The other volunteers too need to receive a training on politeness and they should be requested not to sound 'passive aggressive' when dealing with devotees and visitors.

Place is about 36km from Railway station. Siruvani water falls is at 16 km from this place. Not a great place place to hang out. However one time visit is suggested. Avoid going in summer. Statue looks good and the place & ambience is good to meditate for some time.
Cabs and autos are too expensive to reach this place.
Bus 14D will go this place but frequency is less.
