We had a very enjoyable cooking class with Hari, her and her family were very welcoming, and she was very flexible with our dietary preferences. We made a large number of dishes including naan, daal and aloo gobi and Hari was a good and patient teacher - letting us try and taste everything as we went. Looking forward to making the dishes at home (or trying to!)…

This cooking class was absolutely the cherry on the cake of my Udaipur trip. Hari's love for cooking and her gift at engaging all of us in the experience made it a fun, informative and enlightening experience! I have spent a lot of time in India (and can cook a number of basic Indian meals). But Hari taught us secrets with preparation and use of spices that were invaluable. We were able to cook up 5 amazingly diverse dishes in record time. Hari is loads of fun, creative and very engaging. She is also very sensitive to the food / dietary restrictions (vegan) of others in the class and was kind enough to cook up two sets of food, for nearly all of the dishes so that those with dietary restrictions and those without could enjoy all of her culinary delights. Truly an experience not to be missed!

Hari is a delight. She is so welcoming that you are put at ease from the very start. We were amazed at the range of dishes and accompaniments that were demonstrated and at Hari's cookery skills and knowledge. We were involved in both the preparation and cooking of the dishes and learnt some excellent tips to put into practice back at home. The resulting food was delicious! We did this course on the last evening of our trip to Rajasthan and it couldn't have been a more fun and memorable way to end.

Hari was very friendly and welcoming. She taught us so much about the Indian cuisine and also answered all of our general questions about India. The food we cooked together was delicious and we left with a completely full belly. After the class we received her recipe book which contains about thirty detailed recipes. We are already looking forward to trying more of the recipes and to cooking for family and friends back home. I would highly recommend Hari's cooking class.

Hari was absolutely wonderful! Friendly, engaging and full of laughter, we thoroughly enjoyed the class and the food we all created. Hari was very mindful of our food restrictions and quickly managed to adapt the recipes to ensure what we made we were able to enjoy.
On a side note, it was "Wedding season" while there, so there was much music as we prepared our meal. We stepped outside to watch the wedding parade, and were invited to join in the dance! So there we were, Hari included, dancing along with the wedding folk, in our aprons! It was the BEST!

Hari has a true love of cooking and a wonderful way to include you in the Indian cooking experience. During our class she welcomed any question, involved everyone in the private class, was totally prepared and made it fun. I'm excited to practice what we learned, and then some, with her cookbook. I highly recommend Hari's cooking class at Enjoy!

We went as a family event - 3 young kids, parents and us the grandparents. It was well set up with a place for the kids to play out of the kitchen when they got restless but Hari was great at letting the older ones participate with adding and stirring ingredients.
The time flew by and the meal at the end was the best Indian food I have ever tasted in my life. No restaurant we went to even came close. We then made spent the afternoon at the Delhi Gate market and were able to find most of the spices in her recipes.

What a fantastic experience learning to cook genuine Indian food from Hari! She is such a delight to spend time with and makes it a great deal of fun. The meal we prepared was absolutely delicious. I also stayed at the Enjoy! Airbnb and Hari and her husband Perendar couldn't have been better hosts. They are warm and welcoming spreading love and kindness to all who come through their doors. I highly recommend Enjoy! during your time in Udaipur!

My wife and I really enjoyed our cooking lesson with Hari, we cooked a variety of dishes and fill quite confident now to replicate those dishes now we are back in Canada.
Such a nice way to spend an evening of our honeymoon in India. Her house is also a guesthouse and from what I saw the rooms look warm and inviting. I would definitely stay there too if you have the chance.

Hello Leslie,
Sorry for the delay, but we are still out of the country and I don't always have the greatest connectivity. I'm not the one who teaches the cooking class, I only submitted a review of our experience.
"Enjoy!" is an absolutely wonderful, homey experience. You can email Harinder (Hari) and she will respond directly to you. What we loved about our time with this personable couple was that it was geared toward a smaller group. In our case it was just my husband and me. Hari will provide you with all the details you need. We just used the GPS on our cell to walk there.
Also, I hope your inquiry is for 2017, right?
If you do go, please tell them Sheri & Eric from Seattle say, "Hi!".
Udaipur was one of our favorite cities in India. Have a fantastic trip!

Do you think with my wheat-allergy (I am coeliac) that I could still enjoy the cookery class, or do many of the dishes contain wheat?
SheriH3
Edmonds, WA36 contributions
Absolutely! That is one thing we noted during the lesson as we have a friend with celiac and a couple other friends who have a gluten allergy. Also, if you mention this to Hari, she will accommodate you. I think you'll enjoy discovering new food items!
