Do take time out to visit this place. Not the best maintained currently, but the trip in a boat to visit the place worth it. It has garden that one can spend about an hour walking, relaxing. Carry drinking water. Washrooms at the place not the cleanest. Also the boat leaves either end, when filled :), so unless you are a larger group, you would need to wait for one to arrive.

A garden in the middle of Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur. You access by boat which just takes a few minutes. Area is unfortunately well past its best with all the water features empty and not working, buildings closed and in a state of decay. Actual garden is well tended but not very interesting. Could be really nice, but needs a lot of money spending on it! Nice boat ride and views.

The Nehru Park is basically a small island within the Fateh Sagar Lake which is approachable only by boat. The boats which carry the tourists to this park charge Rs.30/- per person on sharing basis for the to & fro journey. There is no restriction on the time spent on this island park. There is plentiful of vegetation, flowering plants and and greenery here. Some fountains have also been developed. A small restaurant run by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation also operates here. While here, the views of the Udaipur city are good. Since the place is not crowded and the wind blows beautifully, the experience is worth the money and the time spent.

In the midst of Fateh Sagar lake lies this gem - its a cool place to relax and unwind. You can board the boat ( shared one which is cheap and equally good like private boat) and reach there. The best time i would recommend is in the evening. The place is very relaxing and you will feel you are in an island. Go for IT!

Spending RS.118/- on a 5min boat ride to this island Park especially in the afternoon is a total waste of time and money. We took a round in 20mins and waited desperately for the next boat to pick us up. None of the fountains work here. The sight could be nice in the evenings but I don't think you need to spend money to see the city by going to this island.. you can do it from the banks!

This park can only be reached by boat and, although not well maintained, it is worth a visit. It was pretty hot when we were there but one of the fountains had a large flume and the kids got drenched (we did too as it really cooled us off). Very picturesque.

Poorly maintained park. Does not offer anything great to see.
Avoid visiting in the daytime as it will be very hot.

Being a foreigner we were charged 125rps for a boat ride to Nehru Park and back again. Thinking back it was not worth the money. This park can actually be a tourist mine if being taken care of properly. It is in a very bad shape. Dry leaves and rubbish everywhere. Dirty. No place to properly sit and enjoy otherwise the very pretty view.

This is a park situated on a island inside Fateh Sagar lake, they take you there by boat , they have a entry ticket too. But it is just a small garden , where you can relax and spend some time. there they have a small restaurant too. but nothing great except the idea of being on boat and island.

NEHRU PARK IS AN ISLAND PARK at the center of Lake Fateh Sagar, in Udaipur. We can reach this island park by boats, paying Rs. 50/- per head for onward and return journeys. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the island.
May be you might have gone to this place in a dry summer, when there is no water in the lake.
