    Well maintained place of Udaipur
Beautiful place of Udaipur with a rich collection of various artefacts by the Hindu ruler. Well maintained , seamless and organised systems. Downside is the lack of any transport or elevator facility for senior citizens. Number of narrow staircases up and down makes it very difficult for anyone with knee issues. Also high cost of transport by battery van ebbed for short distances.

Would definitely recommend to visit the palace when visiting Udaipur.
Beautiful palace. A guide will help you to understand the history of the palace. We asked mister K Das to be our guide. He is one of the oldest in town and can speak 4 languages - French and Italian included. He also helped us to capture great memories. Access to senior citizens and limited mobility is available and quite affordable.

    Scenic and majestic experience
Beautiful, scenic and majestic experience at the castle of the Kings of Mewar!! A private property of the royal family very well maintained by the heir. Though the ticket costs seem high but they are worth. There is a battery car or toy train drop available for INR 50 per person to the top of the palace gate at entrance. It saves your energy while walking uphill so that you can use it while walking around the premises of the palace. Hiring a tourist guide is a good idea or else you wouldn't actually appreciate it's true value and historical importance. It has rooms for kings and queens, courtyards for various ceremonies, armoury and many more visual treats. It has restaurants serving snacks, tea and meals right in front of the palace this seemed very peaceful and relaxing to us. The royal family lives very next to the entrance and we got a chance to see the Prince passing by and were moved by His Humility. Overall we were very happy at the end of the tour partly due to the knowledge and info given by the guide and the rest by its beauty!! A must visit place.

    Must visit in udaipur
Amazing view of the udaipur city. Feeling of pride of our rich Indian royal culture. We took a guide who charged us INR 500. But was totally worth it. He took us around the entire palace and explained every sequence of events in a very interesting manner.

A must see, but not during Diwali
The palace rooms are gorgeous. Most of the highlights have brief interpretive labels so we did fine without hiring a guide, but probably a guide would give more depth to the experience. The reason for four stars rather than five was the for the crowds. I don’t recommend visiting during Diwali week if you can possibly avoid it. The doors and passageways that connect the palace rooms are small, so people are packed in like sardines and it is nearly impossible to linger even long enough to read the labels or take a photo.

    Magnificent palace
City palace overlooks Lake Pichola. It is constructed atop a hill on several levels. Golf carts are available on payment to take one from the main gate to the entrance of the palace which otherwise is an uphill walk. Apart from its architecture, the panoramic views of the lake and of the city are amazing. The Badi mahal is the highest point to view the city. Amazingly, it is at ground level allowing trees to flourish….. There is a Mardana (male) mahal and a zanana (female) mahal with dressing rooms and swings for queens. The Mor or peacock chowk connects the two mahals. The sheesh mahal is simply awesome. Interestingly, the entire palace can be rented for weddings!!!! There is a separate Crystal gallery and a ticket has to be purchased for it. It houses an amazing collection of crystal ware including a crystal bed!! An awesome place to visit and spend 2-3 hours exploring it

Go to the 4th floor for some amazing views
The views from inside the palace and from the 4th level are amazing. A clear lake panoramic view. I liked the courtyards, all of them. The ground level though is a bit crowded, and I didn't like that they opened an eatery inside a historical monument. Much of the palace is taken up by the King's family and Taj Fateh Prakash Palace. You should take a speed boat ride in the Pichola Lake. There are many viewpoints and photo op points within the Palace, and you should make good use of that. The ticket counter doesn't accept cards or UPI. They only accept cash. Always take a personal guide (not headphones). They make your tour interesting and costs Rs. 500 per trip for 3-7 people.

    The premium attraction of Udaipur
The premium attraction of Udaipur. Although the entry fee is quite high (INR 400 for Indians) the palace and its contents are worth the price. At least they did not charge me a camera fee. Unfortunately the day we visited, it was extremally busy and obviously overcrowded. Even then I could find a few pocket of spaces to appreciate the beauty of this magnificent palace. To properly see this place it takes at least half a day. Guides will normally give you one and half hour so we decided not to hire one. Fortunately the palace is well maintained and the displays are in good condition. If you are interested in getting a boat ride then you have to buy the boat ticket from inside the palace compound only. There are a few eating options inside the compound but for obvious reasons they are expensive.

The city palace is a beautiful palace reminiscent of the mewadi opulence and grandeur.
The palace in itself is converted into a museum The tickets cost around 400 per person and are worth it..
Definitely take a guide for this place if you really want to immerse yourself in the history and its impact on the current udaipur.. the human guided or audio guides both are good.
The surrounding market is super interesting and the Lake pichola boat ride starts from city palace itself so definately do that too!

The 2nd largest palace of India. It’s huge and every room is a delight to eyes. It has many significant preserves of history like soil of haldighati battle , weapons , armours of Maharana pratap ji , many other Mewar kings . The oldest Idol of Shree Ram . Many sculptures of past . Mirror room , blue room and many more .

The City Palace of Udaipur is an architectural marvel that offers a captivating journey through history and culture. From intricate carvings to stunning courtyards, every corner exudes grandeur and charm. The panoramic views of Lake Pichola from its balconies are simply breathtaking. The museum inside the palace is a treasure trove of artifacts, showcasing the opulent lifestyle of the erstwhile royalty. The audio guide provides insightful commentary, enhancing the experience. However, the ticket queues can be long, so it's advisable to arrive early. Overall, a visit to the City Palace is a must for anyone seeking to delve into the regal heritage of Udaipur.
