Udaipur is often referred to as the Venice of India and it indeed reminds you a little of Venice with it's beautiful builidings on the riverside. One of them is the City Palace, it is well worth a visit. It is beautiful inside and outside, very elaborate. Our guide Mr Josh from Southall Travel helped to bring it alive.

The city palace is beautifully located on the bank of Lake Pichola. The one thing that will immediately strike you is that its beauty has been preserved inspite of the the magnanimity of the structure. You would see the clolourful typicall Rajsthani drawing on the walls , The glass work, the Shahi durbar .... Do remember to take a guide... More

Very large palace overlooking the Lake and providing stunning scenery. Built over 450 years ago by the Mewar dynasty. A must see in Udaipur

Very well maintained. Extremely expensive tickets @ 250 each just for visiting the museum & just for entering the museum its Rs. 210. Considering the fact that the palace has been maintained & open for public for spreading the rich cultural heritage with such exorbitant ticket prices there are chances that the locals might consider twice. It is feasible for... More

Went there like after lunch (they close quite early 17h or 18h) and had such an amazing walk. Even tho they were preparing like a show for the night or something the pictures from the inside garder were soooo good. Took like 2 hours to visit, its such a wonderful place. The architecture i'd say is the most impressive thing... More

The Palace is beautiful and it easily takes half a day to see. However, the entry ticket is pretty expensive. But, if you're a student, you get a concession! :D..

We did not enter the palace (200INR) but we walked leisurely around the ground. The palace was built by different kings and the architecture is beautiful. The city and lake view from the palace is amazing. A must go.
