Honestly speaking I did not find it much interesting considering the price they charge (INR 250 per person) and other palaces that I’ve visited. I found Jaipur city palace much more royal. There are charges for any types of photography including cell phone. The entire palace takes about 2- 3 hrs to complete and it closes around 5 pm so... More

The palace is quite interesting and a good place to take photos. Try and avoid weekends which can be crowded and then the visit pushy and noisy. The history could be better explained. Worth the visit on the whole but not essential if you have visited other Rajesthani palaces.

It is a good half day spot to cover, being a heritage site that too maintained in royal style, it is a must see. But be ready to walk a lot as it is a real big place and once you enter, you won't come out without visiting each and every corner.

It is a huge palace, museums inside are well maintained! but its too expensive! Few of museums are charged extras and not included in the main ticket! Visitors get to see only few percent of palace rest is privately owned property! Don't miss the musical instrument museum inside! Do carry your ID if you are a student it will help... More

Rajasthan has many palaces and Forts to explore but this one cannot be missed. Loved the way that the sights flowed throughout the buildings giving you a sense of the size and complexity of the palace. Very well managed and the exhibitions were fantastic. We spent a happy few hours wandering. We finished up with drinks in the cafe overall... More

Nice place to see although tickets are costly. It takes minimum two hours to see the museum & building which is situated beside lake pichora . visit by 4pm may make it easy to see light & sound programme too & beautiful lightening of the city palace.

It is an interesting palace to visit, would greatly benefit from better signage, more information and polite staff. Best visited in the winter months as it involves a lot of walking around. There is s boat trip that takes you across to the jaigarh palace on the lake, but not much information there too. They have a pricey restaurant and... More

It is a very beautifully built magnificant structure which has a lot of history to tell. This place is usually very crowded and driving till the palace becomes is painful. Better park your vehicle nearby and walk till the palace. The crystal gallary, silver gallary and vintage car museum are there only. Boating in the lake has its starting point... More
