Lovely chat and insights in their art
Top talented artists. I was enjoying the views at the waterside and started an amazing chat. Super casual which was very welcoming after the constant hussling. I like art, but I usually don't have much interest in everything behind it. But the way everything got explained to me, really convinced me. Pacific art has been creating art for 4 generations. These are not just copies and fakes like you'll find in the city centre. I could see the hair fine detail. They do art classes as well. I ended up buying a small masterpiece and almost bought a bigger painting. I got a motorbike ride on top. Again, this is very unusual for me. Super hospitable, welcoming, friendly. I'll recommend my friends to go there.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit to Pacific Art. Namaste 🙏

Extremely overwhelmed after seeing the hard work put by Jeetu sir into each masterpiece designed by him. It is a result of many years of austerity and really his style evokes so many emotions. Hats off to you . My fav part was getting a personalised art class where i learnt different techniques to paint . It was indeed a beautiful experience 🥰
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so happy that you enjoyed visiting Pacific Art and learning about our art and techniques. Namaste! 🙏

We stumbled upon this shop taking in the local architecture away from the hustle of the Old City. Such a lovely studio, an absolute gem. The service was amazing and our art was deliveeeed to our hotel framed immaculately.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are very glad that you enjoyed visiting Pacific Art and that you are happy with your purchases. We hope to see you again! Namaste 🙏

    Genuine high quality art work
This is a high quality family business, a bit off the beaten path but worth a visit. In Udaipur you will be bombarded with people offering to sell you art, some may be legitimate but it’s very hard to weed them out from the many others who will tell you wonderful stories or more accurately outright lies to engage you in buying the lower quality art they are peddling. Pacific art have a real difference in that there is none of the intense pressure that comes from many of the others. You can see the artwork being produced by the talented brothers who run this family business which gives you the confidence in what you are buying. When they show you the difference between the colour from real stone paint vs chemical paints it’s very enlightening (particularly if you’ve had the sales pitch from some of the other street hawkers) and when you see the level of detail achieved by these talented artists you will truly understand the difference. I bought 3 beautiful pieces of art which I can’t wait to frame and hang when I get home. Thank you Jeetu!
Thank you for your very kind review Chris. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit to Pacific Art and are glad that you can enjoy our art for the years to come. It was our pleasure to meet you and hope to see you again. Namaste 🙏

An authentic, wholesome, learning experience you'll feel good about supporting
Upon visiting Pacific Art in Udaipur, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in a Miniature painting lesson. Jeetu, our teacher for the day, was the embodiment of genuine passion and authenticity. His amiable demeanor and evident love for the craft contrasted sharply with other galleries that, at times, seemed more interested in commercial gains than in the art itself. Jeetu's approach to teaching was both calming and enlightening. Despite my initial apprehensions about the class, he guided us seamlessly through the foundational steps, ensuring that even beginners felt at ease. It was during this time that I gained a profound appreciation for the meticulous nature of this art form. The delicacy required, the fine lines, the subtlety – Jeetu and Naresh's mastery shone through every lesson. The duo's commitment to authenticity extended beyond just teaching. They took the time to educate us about the materials involved, such as stone paints and squirrel-tail brushes. In a refreshing turn of events, they were candid about the manufacturing process – an honesty that I found rare and deeply valued. One aspect that truly resonated with me was their non-aggressive approach to sales. After the class, they displayed their artwork without pressuring us into purchases. Having been privy to the intricate processes and the immense skill behind each piece, I found myself genuinely appreciating the value of their work. Our time at Pacific Art was not just about the art; it was a heartfelt experience. We shared stories, indulged in laughter, and I felt the session transform into a meditative journey for me. It was not just a transaction; it was a connection. Jeetu, in particular, felt less like an instructor by the end and more like a kindred spirit in the realm of art appreciation. I wholeheartedly recommend Pacific Art to both seasoned artists and casual admirers alike. In a world teeming with commercialized pursuits, it's artisans like Jeetu and Naresh that remind us of the genuine heart and soul behind every brushstroke. Their integrity, talent, and dedication deserve not just recognition but also widespread support. Joining me in this experience were my wife and a close friend, both of whom echo my sentiments and share my newfound appreciation for this beautiful art form. If you're ever in Udaipur, don't miss out on this treasure trove of talent and authenticity. Do support what they're doing.
Thank you for your detailed review and very kind words. It was our pleasure to meet you and show you our art. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Pacific Art and hope to see you again one day. Namaste 🙏

    Authentic and Traditional Miniature Art
My partner and I stopped by at Pacific Art Udaipur after having a conversation with Naresh this summer. Later on we also met his brother Jeetu and got to see him while painting miniatures. He patiently told us about the natural dyes they use while creating their art. Such a lovely place to visit if you want to meet local miniature artists and see some authentic art. We had a great time (and a cup of homemade tea :)) and learned more about figures from and stories about the miniatures. I would recommend visiting if you are interested in traditional art and want to have a conversation with the artists.

    Great paintings and experience
We have been looking for a nice souvenir from India. After being approached on the street, we went to Pacific Art and Naresh showed us many miniature paintings and explained to us the differences in quality and techniques used. It was a pleasure talking to Naresh. As we did not find comparable work on the market, we bought a painting made by his brother and are very happy with it. Pacific Art is a very personal experience and we are very satisfied with getting a souvenir whose origin we know.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit to Pacific Art and hope that you enjoy your painting for the years to come. Namaste 🙏

    Paintings from the artists
Over the last 3 days we have wandered past this shop, occasionally going in to look at their lovely paintings. Today, our last we went in and they were having lunch, squatting on the floor, and they asked us to join them. We had a lovely, home cooked lunch and then bought this painting of Lord Ganesha, which we had chosen the day before, to take home. We loved this little shop where there is no pressure to buy and the owners take endless care to show you their art. It’s away from the hustle bustle of the commercial, tourist shops and well worth a visit.
Thank you for your kind review. It was our pleasure to meet you and we hope that you enjoy your painting in the years to come. Namaste 🙏

Explore the back streets beyond the tourist drag.
I was looking for a quality piece of local art, but became suspicious of sellers on the tourist route pedalling the same stuff. I found Pacific Art away from the busy areas, mesmerised by one brother painting on the front step. I went inside had an explanation of the different levels of quality and found the piece for me. The bartering was as lively as ever and I have come away very happy. Good luck to the brothers, I know they will do well.

    Exceptional hospitality
Our experience at this art gallery, thanks to Naresh was wonderful. We were there for a friend's wedding and Naresh's assistance made our visit memorable. Him and his brother didn't just help us to create an incredible painting as a present to our friends; he also crafted a personalized painting of us, which was a beautiful gesture. Naresh's knowledge of Udaipur was a great bonus. He guided us around the city, showing us places we would have never found on our own. He was our go-to person for everything, from finding a tailor to arranging transport, always reliable and ready to help. We're genuinely looking forward to our next visit. Not only to see the new art collections but also to catch up with Naresh and his brother. Their professionalism and kindness are rare and truly appreciated.

Ranesh and Jitu were incredibly kind and welcoming. They taught us a fair bit about the history behind many of the paintings and the paintings themselves were some of the most detailed I’ve seen in Udaipur. Would definitely come back and purchase more artwork!

Absolutely amazing experience. This little art shop is run by two brothers who are truly passionate about their work. They are some of the friendliest people I have encountered whilst I have been in India and they produce absolutely stunning artwork to match. There is no pressure at all to buy anything and would definitely recommend going just to learn about the artistic process.

Had a lovely time drawing and painting a peacock in the style of Indian miniatures. It was great to do something different from sightseeing and also I learnt about the special brushes and stone paint. Would definitely recommend as very relaxing and therapeutic.

Absolutely beautiful art and the class was so fun! I learned so much from them. Definitely come here instead of purchasing more from the center (you will get a better price). Highly recommend!

We had a lovely time with brothers Naresh and Jeetu as they explained the process of painting miniatures and helped us during the lesson. Both were professional and kind. We appreciated that they did not try to upsell us, and it was clear that they have a true love for their art form that they want to share with others. Thank you both for the wonderful experience!

I am so glad we stumbled into this establishment. Incredible arts, teachers, students—a long term family business of artists. We bought beautiful paintings and couldn’t help but to become friends with the owners. Unforgettable and beautiful.

Inspired by our visit to the City Palace, we spent a wonderful, magical afternoon with Jeetu in his little shop around the corner from the Amet Haveli.

First he allowed us to practise using one hair of the paintbrush and then we he carefully, step by step, encouraged us to create our own miniature painting of a peacock. It was the highlight of our trip to Udaipur and I can’t recommend it more highly.

I have no painting experience, but was not disappointed with the outcome and Jeetu is an excellent teacher, offering encouragement along the way.

We did buy a couple of miniatures at the end to take home as presents, but there was absolutely no pressure to do so. We have already recommended him to several people we have met on our trip.

We came across Pacific Art as we were exploring around Ambrai Ghat on holiday in Udaipur. It’s close to several hotels, restaurants and Pichola Lake in a much quieter area than the main tourist centre, but it’s not far to walk there. The two brothers who run the shop work with 26 other artists as a cooperative to produce beautiful hand painted pictures, with great skill and attention to detail. We were offered tea and didn’t feel pressured to buy, as is often the case in other shops. The prices were reasonable, reflecting the level of detail involved in making each piece of art. We happily bought a painting of Udaipur on silk and of a kingfisher on paper. These were carefully packaged so as not to get damaged on our onward journey. We wish the brothers and the cooperative every success in their enterprise!

My sister and I took a painting class with Jeetu. It was nice and fun. He explained everything, the history of miniature art and his family's role. Of course there was encouragement to buy, but not high pressure. He gave us chai and we painted and chatted and the whole thing was going 5 stars... and then when the class was over and we were looking at paintings, considering a purchase, his older brother Naresh showed up. He was so drunk (it was noon) that he couldn't focus his eyes, was swaying, slurring his speech and having difficulty coordinating his hands to open envelopes to show us his art. He also put on high pressure to buy to "help us out" since the pandemic had been so difficult, etc. I was trying to figure out if it could be a medical problem and asked Jeetu if Naresh was still painting (yes) and if he was ok (raised eyebrows) and he explained his behavior by saying he's still grieving the death of their elderly father last summer. Once I realized he was drunk, I was 'done' and disengaged. Jeetu made apologetic sympathetic expressions, but didn't intervene. Perhaps there is a cultural prohibition about confronting your older brother, but this was nuts and bad for business. Naresh was so inappropriate and made us so uncomfortable that we couldn't leave soon enough and ended up waiting outside for our tuk-tuk.
