Rajsamand Lake in Rajasthan was a delightful surprise. This massive lake features beautiful marble steps. Tourists enjoy the peaceful scenery and take boat rides to appreciate its grandeur and lush surroundings fully. The Raj-Prashasti viewpoint atop the dam holds the world's longest and largest stone inscription in Sanskrit. It's etched on 25 black marble slabs, recounting the history of Mewar.
A must visit lake of Rajasthan!

Less known historical place build by Rana Raj Singh. Lots of fishes are seen in lake. Surrounding is historical and cool place to visit. Must visit place if you are visiting Udaipur, Shrinathji and Kumbhalgarh.

Travel changes you in a positive way, whether you want it to or not and thats why we drawn to it. Traveler has always desired to combine a lot more things to his virgin visit of marked place but when the one enters into the never experienced zone, one leave oneself to immerse into the dream world. One such place is Dudhleshwar ( Rawali Taadgarh Wildlife Sanctuary), which is found to be paradise for the astral and physical peace. This Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand Districts of Rajasthan. Its geography is ideal for the perfect wildlife hotspot and It occupies the area of about 495 sq km. of tropical dry deciduous forest. Most come at this beautiful place to see tropical deciduous forests and grasslands. Every visitor faces the wonderful sense of this place as this place is habitat to Wild Boar,Leopard, Chinkara, Sloth Bear, Common Langur and Indian Wolf. The ancient lord Siva temple add more stars to bespoken spot of faith. Far reaching range make it unnoticed from regular tourist.
As you reach close to the place, your inner sense of body creates soothing feeling and seek to capture all the components in one and fast bout that no one really can. Combination of serenity and ethnicity is one of the most ingredients of this place. Trekking through forest to hike give opportunity to see and feel the nature, birdlife, wild animals and to know its ecology.
Night stay at Dudhleshwar contains bounty of chance to closely live nightlife in the jungle and taste of its traditional food. This place makes every activity adventurous as Horse riding and camel safari can be enjoyed in the lap of Aravali hills.

one can easily visit this beautiful lake on the way to Kumbhalgarh fort . Though ideal time would be @ the time of sunset .The vista appears marvelous at this time, when the orange shade of the departing Sun shades the waters of the lake .
The USP is the lack of crowd here unlike Udaipur.
the southern side of the lake has a huge marble embankment composed of white marble.
it is a 17th century lake with numerous Torans - Marble arches & stone pavilions Chhatris decorated with intricate carvings in marble .
the torans were the weighing arches where Kings used to weigh themselves in gold and then distribute it amongst the Brahmans during the annual event of TULADAN.
Rajsamand Lake was made the seaplane base of Imperial Airways during World War II, for over six years.
river Gomti is the main supplier of water for the lake
a well laid promenade runs along the entire perimeter of the lake & one can enjoy a stroll along the lake. Even elderly can enjoy a walk here .
those who wish to relax their tired feet can climb down the steps & dip their feet in the soothing waters.
Avoid to do so during monsoons as the water is dirty
it is located 66 km from Udaipur.
if you are coming from Delhi , it is better to stay @ Nathdwar & make a day trip next day to Haldighati , Kumbhalgarh fort , Ranakpur temple & Charbhuja temple Rajasmand lake & rest overnight @ Nathdwara & proceed to Udaipur the next day via Eklinji temple . This itinerary will save time , money & energy.

A nice picturesque lake near Kumbhalgarh, worth stopping past if you've got some spare time after visiting the fort. Nothing special to draw you here otherwise. I'd nice and quiet in the ecrnings.

We were on the side of the lake where the temple of Lord Shrinathji is situated. The boats are there for the ride, but there is lack of cleanliness in the lake, due to dumping of various things in the lake
