We missed the light and sound show but nevertheless this place is enchanting. The second longest wall in the world after the wall of China. Amazing architecture and the nearby ruins. The narration of the history by local guides gives you a perspective of the lives in the era gone past by.

This is not a palace, it is a fort. It is located in the Aravalli Hills, a 3 hr. drive from Udaipur. The area looks much as it may have looked when it was built. The trip is very interesting as you pass through many villages. The fort is a long hike up but the views are amazing. The fort... More

You will enjoy the drive to kumblaghar from Udaipur. And the fort has amazing view of mountains around the fort amd beautiful landscape. All the places to eat around are very expensive and don't serve good food, better to carry food. Early morning would be the best time to start to fort. Also they organize a guided treck, which would... More

It is one of the largest forts that I have visited. Loved to explore it. The drive from Udaipur to the fort is also pretty good. Downfall- fort needs maintenance and guides. Light and sound show was not as good as expected and can be skipped. Suggestion- full fort should be lighted in the evening, add audio guides, increase seating... More

If you enjoy Forts then it is one of them. Very Thick walls and well kept. Ranakpur - jain temple is nearby - so you can cover both these places together.

This fort has the second longest wall after Great Wall of China. The whole structure is on top of a hill. You have to do fair amount of trekking to travel through each level of the fort. The view from the top most point of the fort is worth all the effort. It is better to have a guide with... More

This is quite out of the way but definitely worth visiting. We were on the road between Jodhpur and Udaipur and realised it was not far off the route. It is a spectacular diversion with the wall snaking away across the hilltops on its 38 km journey. Unbelievable that it was constructed so long ago. The view from the battlements... More
