I visited Jog Niwas with my friends from abroad in January 2019. Beautiful house with hosts that make you feel at home. The property gives you a feel of living in a fort. The rooms are large, neat and well kept. The host Mr. Gajendra and his staff make you feel at home. They prepared food to suit the needs of my friends from foreign countries and made sure that it was not spicy. Mr. Gajendra took us for a walk in the desert forest which was quite nice. Nice place to stay in Jodhpur.

Shanna Davis or Google Aunty as the local kids call her , have such vast and in depth knowledge about the art and craft of India , which she dispensed patiently to us . The pieces she crates and design with artisans across India have unimaginable details and cratfman ship ... each and every piece is a masterpiece and they are displayed in the house. The most wonderful thing about our conversations with Gajendra and Shanane was that along with the knowledge being dispersed to us.. the warmth , the passion and the humour made every conversation a trip into unknown lands of history and art ... If you ever want to acquire true masterpieces of art and craft ... there is no one else but Shannane Davis and Gajendra Singh one should get in touch with..

My beloved Gajendra and Shanane Thank you for the warmest hospitality. I love every minute there since the moment I arrived I knew this is my home away from home. The loveliest smile and warm hearted Gajendra. All the great and fascinating stories from Shanane and she is a great artist and most interesting person I ever met from all my journeys. All the laugh we had over the dining table. All the love and care from Dp Bj and gavita. You guys got a place in my heart. Love u guys to the moon. Gajendra and Shanane were a great host and companions during our stay at Jog Niwas. We got to witness the royal hospitality in its modern form & also got the wonderful opportunity of being a part of their Christmas Celebrations. Gajendra enlightened us with his family legacy and we were fortunate enough to get a taste of his family’s traditional Laal maas preparation. Shanane is a delight to speak with, she is a immensely knowledgable and enlightened us with incredible information during every conversation. Additionally, we would also like to thank the staff at Jog Niwas - Dalpat, Vijay and Kavita for their untiring and warm services. Undoubtedly, the best part of our Jodhpur visit was the stay with them. We most certainly will come back for more stories :)

I have just returned from a one week stay at Jog Niwas and I had the most fantastic time. The house is incredibly beautiful, very well designed, elegantly furnished but very cosy and welcomig at the same time. Gajendra is the perfect host. He is very interesting to talk to, knows very much about Indian art and culture and makes super human efforts to make your stay comfortable. For example, he took me personally to the bus stop in the middle of the night, although I would have been perfectly happy to take a taxi. In general, the staff at Jog Niwas are very friendly, the food is superb, most probably the best Indian food I have ever eaten, and there are a wide range of activities on offer, especially if you are interested in the local arts and crafts. I had a chance to visit some local carpet weavers and musicians and just visiting the showrooms where Gajendra exhibits and sells lndian arts and crafts objects was an incredible experience. The house is surrounded by nature and I had a chance to see a desert hare, various gazelles and an incredible variety of the most beautiful birds. The wild life walks are highly recommended. In short, the place is magical and I will certainly go back some time.
