Although it is far from the center, it is totally worth the detour: the store is effectively a real experience, with unbelievably cheaper and higher quality products. There are products starting at 100 rupees.
The staff is friendly, and reliable. They don't push products. They just want to help.
You can choose fabrics to be sewn on the spot.
There are vintage fabrics from old dresses that are to die for!
Emerging European brands have been relying on the quality of this store to export fabrics and products.

This place is peaceful and 100% organized. Nobody follows you, so you are free to explore the shop and once you are interested in something the staff is very kind to show you all the options. All has excellent quality and the prices are good.

We spent an afternoon visiting various workshops including a pottery making everyday water pots and jugs on a potter's wheel. We then moved onto a carpet maker weaving on his loom fascinating and then to a home where tea was being brewed. The village of Bishnoi was really interesting with animals, barns, and fodder. We also visited a home where the lady of the house was putting down a new red concrete and dung floor outside for Diwali. Great visit.

This is an excellent warehouse to peacefully search for what you want for typical Indian clothing, women & men, rugs & fabrics. You can send your purchases home. Good prices, haggle some.

Saidramji (spelling?) provided excellent service.

We did a Jeep trip and visited three different village family workshops. Very nice opportunity to get out of the city and into the rural area. We got to see the village life and saw typical wildlife in the fields. The area has no electricity and limited water resources. We visited a textile shop, pottery shop and opium water shop. The people were friendly and willing to make your experience individualized. Your purchases are not expected but highly appreciated.

Visited this Jilani Hand Block Print shop cum workshop during our recent visit to Jodhpur. Our tour operators Taxi driver took us to this place. There were demonstration on Carpet weaving, Cloth hand block printing and a Pottery work place. One family run all these business. Though it is a cottage industry Kind of a place, surely they have big business approach, one has to exercise caution on purchasing things from them. Good place to visit to gain knowledge and experience the hands-on process

Went with the intention to do good and purchase directly from the village Craftsmen

At least 25% higher than market rates for the same product. They all give evidence of authentication even in the market.
Good experience to see but not for purchase.

We did a bishnoi village safari. We were sitting in the Jeep a lot and didnt see much.
We had a stop at a house where we saw an opium ceremony which was great and interesting. They also showed us how they make chapatti and told us about their religion. That was really good. After that our driver told us to pay them. So what did we pay the tour for if the only people who show us something are not even payed? After that we went to a pottery. On our way we saw some antilopes.
Doesnt sound so bad. BUT we paid 1500 Rupies!!!!! For 5 minutes of village and 2 hours in the car!!!! A waste of money and a waste of time.
I wish we had seen more! For example weavers.

Had a wonderful experience shopping here for locally made handicrafts and supporting rural women who do the work at home and sell through here. People were helpful and not pushy about sales. You could buy a variety pillow cases, bedsheets, table runners, and whole range of other textile products.
