Visited couple of times for shopping in the evening. The market area is very crowded, one has to navigate through narrow and congested lanes. We were cautioned by our tour guide and the driver to be watchful while walking in the marketplace, though not experienced any unpleasant incidents. The market has several colourful stalls of traditional Rajasthani items like textiles and fabrics, handcrafted jewellery, leather goods, spices etc. Good place to buy some Rajasthani fabrics.

Sardar market is a very crowded wholesale market, good place for shopping. Market has lots of small shops and most of these shops have lots of stuffs. Need to know bargaining stuff or else they sell at very expansive rates.

Crazy market. Busy with people and motorcycles. If you are looking for a relaxing shopping experience, this is not it. It is a full sensory experience. Exhaust from motorcycles, interesting smells, crowds of people buying and haggling. Definitely go and see it.

Good to spend some time seeing the daily banter and bartering. Impressive clock tower in the middle (Ghanta Ghar). Easy walk from some of the restaurants (like Indigo) that overlook the fort, so good to do just before or after lunch.

Old market of the times of the Marwar royalty when in power. Nai sark and tripolia market two adjacent shopping complexes to it. Enjoy authentic Pyaz Kachori and Mawa Kachori in the lanes of this old market.

Local market for local clothes variety. Taking a car there is a bit tiresome so best to park at the main road and take an auto to the market There are a lot of small and big shops for clothing. We liked the vaishavi shop a lot. Good collection and Nice sales person too. Reasonably priced but be sure u bargain in this market.

We recently spent a few days in Jodhpur and frequently found ourselves in or near the Sardar Market area. The Sardar Market is easy to find, it is centered by the tall Clock Tower which seemed to be the tallest structure in this area of the city. We enjoyed spending a bit of time in this market, which is configured a bit more like a town-center open market layout, finding lots of shops to pop into, local food and drinks to try and plenty of opportunities to click away at our cameras.
The Sardar Market is a vibrant open market scene where you can find fresh food, traditional Indian clothing, jewelry and other goods, souvenirs, crafts and food. We found a nice bookstore called Krishna Book, just inside the north gate to the market, which had an impressive used book selection, some good quality Rajasthan handicrafts, textiles and souvenirs and henna services.
As for food, we visited the famous Shri Mishrilal Hotel, near the south gate for Makhani lassi drinks. While they weren't our favorites, they are raved about by locals and well worth finding to try. We also tried Omelette shop, just outside the north gate, finding their cheap and quickly made omelette snacks, quite tasty. This one and/or a similar stall called Vicky's Omelette's on the other side of the gate entrance are worth a try when you visit the Sardar Market as well.
Overall, the Sardar Market is far from the finest market you will ever visit but its a nice enough place to find and spend a bit of time when you visit Jodhpur. It can be quite busy during the day when the market is open and vibrant. But it did clear out quite a bit in the evening so it might be worth a stop then as well, even if to only look at the Clock Tower, which changes colors every 5 seconds or so at night.
Hint: The Sardar Market was very busy during the day but it cleared out at night time, the Clock Tower began to turn colors at night as well, making for interesting pictures. In the end, we quite enjoyed spending time around Sardar Market and recommend it to visitors of Jodhpur.

This market is very popular for local people & countryside people of Rajasthan..
You can find in this market almost everything which you need in daily life..
It’s good to see and buy for tourist as well, they can find local spices, local Handicrafts item, local traditional textile etc etc.. Evan it’s just nice to look too see Rajasthani people 😊
This market also called Ghanta Ghar
Must visit market.. & just neighbours of Sardar market is Nai Sadak where you can find many restaurants, Handicrafts shop, spices shop, bank, bar, saree, jutee shoes, etc etc..& you can park your car at Nai Sadak Area as well...
You can find in this market almost everything which you need in daily life..

We met our tour jeep near the clock tower early in the morning. It was empty and quiet. The contrast when we were dropped off in the afternoon was huge. A typical crowded, busy, noisy market. Lots if stalls and shops with a variety of goods for sale. We did not buy anything but great to walk through avoiding cows and tuk tuks.
