It's a good place to visit for sunset. 15 km from railway station. Small Garden is there. One big fountain. Boating and Zip Line is also there. Cleanliness is a Very Big issue. People Don't find and don't use dust bins at all.

Great place to visit when you see on internet . But lake not maintained at all , we all know as Indian throw garbage all round ( our habit) , need to put safai karmchari to maintain this beautiful lake
Lake water is giving foul smell when you do boating
Getting into motorboat very very risky , great chance of fall into the lake

The clear waters and the surrounding hills create a picturesque setting at Kaylana Lake. I enjoyed a boat ride, taking in the views of the Mehrangarh Fort and the city beyond. The well-maintained park around the lake is great for a stroll or a picnic. The sunset here is simply magical! It's a calm oasis amidst the city bustle,

I visited the lake from Jodhpur City as I seen it on the list of things to do nearby.
Personally, I did not enjoy my visit here. It did not look like the photos online.
I had a 20 minute boat ride around the lake which cost approx £1.20 per person. There is nothing to see from the boat accept litter on the grassy banks.
There is nothing around the lake to do, other than a small zip wire width was closed.

An under-rated spot in Jodhpur, Kaylana lake lures you with nice views & a gentle evening breeze. Nice spot for views & clicks.

Great place. Really admire the scientific thought of our ancestors who built this manmade lake for rain water harvesting many centuries ago to store water for Jodhpur cities needs. The lake parse is clean except at the edges where tourists visit which are very poorly maintained. The main area is all broken and dilapidated and full of garbage thrown by tourists which no one has either bothered to clean and impose rules strictly. One gets really put off at this. Had it been a foreign country this site would have been a bestseller. The lake has shallow hills on all sides with scrub and offers great view. We could see many migratory birds in the lake. The lake has a speed boat and one normal boat for tourists and some eateries. The infrastructure is in real shambles. If u isolate from this, the drive on the road atop the hilltops along the lake periphery especially around dawn is great. Camel ride and pony rides are advertised as available but we couldnot find any camels or ponies. Free parking was avbl

Kaylana Lake, a man made lake which provide drinking water to the whole of Jodhpur. Around this beautiful lake there are many trekking point, hills, temples, small ponds surrounded with beautiful flora and fauna. This place is very good for early morning trekking be it solo or with friends.

It is beyond the zoo and can be a good end for the zoo trip with a boat trip on the lake before sunset. It's not that broad but long and they also have horse and camel rides. The garden around isn't well maintained bit is ok for a stroll back.
