It is a huge fort. The best one till now I have seen. Beautiful work is being done in stone. It is quite high and you can see Jodhpur from the top. It is mesmerizing.

Even if you don't visit it, you will see this fort, as it overlooks the city. Do make the time for a visit of the fort, the palace rooms and its exhibits of miniature paintings.

Big and more diverse than expected, there are exhibits of miniature paintings, weapons, saddles for elephants, chairs where the maharajas sat while being carried around — and more. Excellent views. Clean toilets. Plus many highly decorated rooms that are something to see. Lots of walking, stairs. There is an elevator to the top — for a fee. Worth it.

Very well maintained and preserved. The best fort I have visited in India and abroad. Lift to go up makes it friendly for all. Shops inside are quite reasonable.

The guide Dr Jitendra Singh conducted us through the fort very patiently, briefing thoroughly and hassles free. Unlike the usual guides, Dr Jitendra is learned gentleman, with indepth knowledge and he handled his assignment with a very professional, friendly attitude..👌
He is worth recommending to the groups on knowledge exploring families and touring groups.. 👍

The Fort itself is majestic and the architectural work is simply superb. Architecture buff will love it. Takes you back in time .

Entry ticket is Rs.200 for Indians and Rs.500 for a Tour Guide. One can take an elevator to the top of the fort ( Rs. 50 per person).

Outside Tour guides not allowed.

Negative aspect - Tour guide literally rushed through and was in a hurry to complete and seek the next tourist .

Takes over 2 hours .

Carry plenty of water bottles and wear comfortable walking shoes

Must visit
