About
The blip of green in the otherwise brown desert is the outcome of decades of toil, seeking to evoke a connection with Earth & Nature. Held together by its women-dominated skilful team of farmers from the local community, MharoKhet takes one away from the clutter of urban spaces into the simplicity of a farm in rural India. We offer unique experiences such as farm tours and plant-forward multi-course dining.

This menu, served with this skill and execution, would cost at least $125/person in San Francisco and be worth every penny.
Wow - we didn’t see this coming. Such a great experience and, at the same time, a good cause.

We spent an afternoon at MharoKhet on our trip from Jodhpur to Bikaner. It was a delightful tour of the crop fields followed by a culinary delight lunch that was out of this world. Rustic and natural to the terrain, the farm boasts a variety of crops, an open air hut with charpais for resting, and jhulas handing from a tree branch. A beautiful getaway for nature and food lovers! Must do❤️

An exceptional experience that was worth every minute. From the farm tour to the harvesting of crops, both usual & unusual (i never knew there were black potatoes) and eating so many different produce as we went along, it was like having an appetiser of a deconstructed salad.
Prakash was a fountain of information. And to think that every thing was organically grown was especially mind blowing when we saw the size of some of the produce. So sustainable is doable. Excellent.
And the food......90% of what was served at lunch came from the farm & 100% was edible, even the decorative flowers & plant stalks....truly delish!

How Mharo Khet is not Michelin starred, just blows my mind!

From the moment we arrived at the gate and rode on a tractor to the farm, our hearts were filled with happiness! I would travel to India just to dine again at Mharo Khet!

We were given a tour of the fruit trees, the leafy greens, vegetables, and numerous trees with great health benefits. I remember the guava was so creamy and flavorful that i ate even the stem. The carrot leaves tasted so much like carrots itself. I have never tasted more delicious arugula (rocket), or had edible flowers.

The tour was conducted by informed college students from agricultural schools. Charming ladies from nearby villages worked at chopping vegetables and later on serving our meal.

I learnt that so many of the trees and plants growing there were eagerly scooped up by pharmaceutical companies to create safe and effective medicines.

The fruits and vegetables we harvested including the mushrooms that we cut , made into the meal we were served.

Sitting under the stars in Rajasthan is a great start to any meal. There was so much more in store for us that evening. The dining table was perfectly setup. Antique brass tiffin boxes along with flowers, beautiful and sharp cutlery, layers of lighting that came on as the night progressed. I was in a dream sequence that Spielberg would have liked to have produced. The food was out of the world. Local yet light and flavors that only come from great produce. The dishes were delicious and as you can see from the pictures they were plated so wonderfully. The village ladies, some working with their daughters, harmoniously brought in the various courses. They moved silently and effortlessly like Ninjas.

So grateful that such a beautiful farm, and dining experience was put together by the owners. Another star to what Bharat has to offer!

I wished the evening would never end.

An amazing experience. Right from the farm tour to the beautiful dinner setup, everything was more than just perfect. The dinner setup was very dreamy, something everyone dreams of.
The best part about the entire experience was authenticity. The team has well-trained village ladies who are the front runners. Kudos to Mr. Rajnush Agarwal for an amazing concept and training the team so well.
Each and every member of the family enjoyed their time at Mharo Khet and couldn’t get over the experience for the next 2 days.

We visited the place with our baby .. and I must say it was a beautiful experience not just for us but for him as well. The fruit orchard had fresh guavas which my baby loved ..the strawberries tasted delicious..the vegetable patch had fresh produce which they used in the dishes we had .. they were kind enough to prepare a baby meal for my son and the best part was lunching under the fruit trees with birds chirping around and the easy breeze ..It is a must visit for locals and the ones visiting the city ..
