" Ghanta Ghar " has a entry fee of Rs 25 and to my disbelief was at the right place at the right time. "Ghanta Ghar" was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh between 1880 and 1911 and is situated in the centre of "Sardar Market" square and known as the clock tower of Rajasthan and not just Jodhpur.. Climbed up the clock tower stairs ,the first time I had ever been inside a working historical clock tower. Did my usual photography and while producing a " Selfie Video" the clock bell chimed and it was a feeling of amazement .Mr Mohammed. Iqbal the clock technician and caretaker has had his family servicing this clock since 1968 and have kept it in working condition.…

Poorly Maintained Ancient Structure. Local street markets all across , Too much traffic, Smelly Area and so on . Government should do something to uplift the area and make it a proper Tourist Point. Stay away from unwanted vendors who tries to pull you towards their shop.

The place is abuzz with activity through the day. In these corona times unfortunately nobody is wearing masks in Jodhpur city. Got some chai masala and spices - hing. Went to the Mishrilal hotel and had tasty kachoris and jalebi. So many textile shops all around selling bandhini material. Definitely worth a visit!…
