Such a pleasant surprise. Such pure simplicity. Expecting a tourist style, colorless event we received anything but. Our cooking class resulted in being more like a meeting of two so different and yet somehow so familiar cultures than a structured lesson of how to make this and that. I'm sure Reeka normally runs a controlled and informative class - but... More

This is a very nice spice shop with lots of spices but we went there with guide so the prices were very high so just go alone and get good prices.

We stumbled upon Spice Paradise while walking towards the market. We'd talked previously about doing a cooking class, so we decided to give it a try. I went in expecting a regular cooking class, something formulaic where you learn a couple dishes and that's it. Little did we know we'd have the greatest time ever! Rekha, who runs the course,... My story for this place starts the nite before. I was out looking for bottled water but everything was closed. As I walked along this couple came riding up on a motorbike and I asked them If there was anywhere I could get bottled water at this time of night as I was needing it. They obliged by opening their... More

This time I went to the Spice Paradise for a cooking class with 9 women. We had once again a great time with Reekha our host and she created out of the blue to more dishes because we asked about it. We had wonderfully sweet Ladoos and stuffed Lady Fingers (Okra).

Rikka literally made our day. I stopped into her shop while out walking around and she had me smelling the various spice mixtures that she makes and exuded such warmth. I told her I'd return with my friend and I'm so glad I did. We ended up talking for over an hour. She made us chai tea and we sat... More

My partner and I really enjoyed our cooking class at Spice Paradise - it was definitely a highlight of our time in Jodhpur! We made biryani, chappati, naan, fruit raita, saffron lassi and a tomato soup. The woman who runs the classes makes you feel like you are a part of her family and is so lovely! A beautiful and...
