We had a wonderful experience with Deepak on this tour. He came across as a very knowledgeable guide who took utmost care of our comfort and ensured that we made the most out of the whole safari adventure. We got the opportunity to stop multiple times through the drive for bird and deer watching and were offered binoculars to get a better view. Another thing that stood out while we were with him is that he was never pushy or didn't try to convince us to make unnecessary purchases, which usually turns out to be the case with most other guides. Overall, I would highly recommend his tour as you do get a real experience of the village and exposure to different facets.

We had a very interesting tour around the Bishnoi-Region, saw a lot of wild animals like gazelles, cormorants, black bocks. Most impressive were the different crafts from rug weaving on to pottery on the old way. To see how the families in the countryside live was also very interesting because mostly we were in the cities till today.
At the end of the tour we had a delicious lunch. We can really recommend this tour.

Honestly, we did not know what to expect behind this name of "Safari tour" ... and it was just great!
The drive in historical Jeep was simply great on the country side, seeing the wild life, and having true talks about the history and present of the rural life in the region. Meeting ancestral traditions, seeing real handy crafts, as well as visiting the Unicef Day care center was great. With our trully local guide we could have a real discussion instead of just some explinations and questions.
Finally, we had a stop at his home with a local lunch prepared by his wife (probably the best food we had over the last 10 days, discussions with the whole family (in fact 2 families) about all possible subjects, preparimg the bread, joking with the teenagers, and seeing all the historical Jeeps and motorcycles :-)
A great day. Really!!

One of the best things to experience in Jodhpur. The tour explored various facets of the community, from sighting native fauna and flora like the black buck and the ker-sangri trees and bushes, to engaging with the local craftspeople who are keeping their traditional crafts of block-printing, weaving and pottery alive. We got the chance to interact with these people, appreciate their work, and shop locally. The guide was hospitable with authentic knowledge about the culture, tradition and ecological context of the area. A great attempt at preserving the essence of the Bishnoi community!

Expecting to be taken to a reserve area, I was amazed that we spotted our first chinkara upon entering a village road. It’s beautiful to see animals moving freely in human spaces

Over the next 2 hours, we saw tens of chinkaras (and their male black bucks), Nilgais, peacocks, Siberian cranes, owl, mallard ducks

We also totally enjoyed visiting the village families of Bishnois, Prajapatis, potters, block print makers

Our guide, Rajveer was very enthusiastic and sensitive. He shared with us many interesting details and kept checking on our comfort

We did the Village Safari and it was such an unforgettable experience , the best time we have had. The cars which they had got along were the vintage cars , which gave an amazing touch and feeling to the entire journey of ours. Then visiting the local families , having a look on their local artistry skills is just something all together. Lastly , having local food with the local family was the best end to the entire safari that we could get. Definitely one of the best times we have ever had, one should definitely do this if they want to experience and know about the local and authentic culture. Great Experience and best time.
