The floor can always be glorified as any ground beyond walls. This customized rug from Chhotaram's specialized community has options in today's world. I'll be taking in the subtle influence by fine handicraft for preparation of a trip after closer acquaintance! Cheers!

    Highly recommended cultural experience
We booked a Bishnoi cultural tour with Om, he was a great tour guide and made us feel very comfortable. We got to experience a Bishnoi ceremony, got to make traditional pottery and had a truly delicious home cooked meal with Om's family. The experience was a lovely change up from the busy city life in India. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about life outside of India's Cities. The Pukhraj Durry Weavers also make some very nice rugs, while a little pricey it did not feel like a scam and I was very happy with the one I purchased. Thank you Om and family for a lovely experience.

Pukhraj Durry Udhyog is a cooperative that knows how to please!
I would highly recommend spending time in Salawas, getting to know the locals, experiencing their delicious cuisine and taking time to choose a beautiful durry for your home. It was well planned and the hosts were friendly and thoughtful. It was a very pleasant change from the hectic cities and time seemed to go slowly. I can't wait to return!

This is absolutely a must do if you are in the Jodhpur area. This whole village is wonderful to see! We watched a demonstration on weaving and learned all about the different materials used. The craftsmanship is exquisite. The whole family is welcoming and warm to be with. We made a great purchase and had it shipped home. I’m very thrilled with our purchase and would highly recommend a stop to salawas village!

Must must must visit. Next time you are in jodhpur do take out time to visit this place in a salawas (dhurrie) village.
It's a different world altogether. Experience the art of dhurrie making and also don't forget to buy some amazing pieces to ramp up your place. They accept all modes of payment and also provide delivery. So do keep it in your bucket list.

The splashed colors are daunting, yet they seem only essential in reflection of the vibrant local culture. I cannot wait for rugs of mine! xo
