This place is part of the Bishnoi Village Safari where the driver of the Jeep will inevitably take you. Initially, we were not very interested in buying anything. However, Kamala Devi, the mother of Omprakash gave us a fascinating demo of how these durries are made. They use a special interlocking mechanism to weave the fabrics, which come in cotton as well as camel hair and coconut coir. Omprakash himself does the selling. A note of caution: he is a fantastic salesman that is guaranteed to leave your pocket lighter. But you will not regret it. The entire family is engaged in this trade. Omprakash, who claims that he has not left the state of Rajasthan in his life, can amaze someone with his smart articulation in Hindi as well as English. I would definitely recommend this place.

The visit to this Durry household was simply amazing. Om Prakash, the main artisan has been in this family business and the tradition goes back 14 generations. They use a special technique called Interlock Weave and use a tool called Panja for the weaving. He took a lot of time to explain the process and even offered to let me weave a little bit. We bought one beautiful durry and ot was an amazing experience. Must visit and highly recommended.

It is an amazing experience to visit Budhraj Dhury in Bishnoi village safari. They are just extraordinary in their artwork. How they make dhury and weave various kind of products is a firsthand learning experience. I just loved the place. I have bought 3 beautiful things too. Prices are reasonable being these are handmade. Kuldeep Singh Ranwat was my safari guide.

We - self and my Wife, visited Jodhpur from 12 to 16 November 2019. On 13 November, we went to see rural Jodhpur, driven by our trusted Guide and Driver Manish Bishnoi mobile number +91 9929907507. We were taken to village artisans to see and gain first hand knowledge of their work and lives. Budhraj Durry Udhyog was the first one to be visited. Budhraj is the owner who runs his industry with a loom from his Dhani i.e his house. Budhraj explained to us the nitty gritty of Durry Weaving. He worked on his loom and proved to us how it is an art as well as a craft. He also explained to us how two persons work on a loom and how warp and weft (ताना बाना) help in making different patterns and weaving structure of a durry. It was indeed very impressive to see different colours and patterns appearing on a durry in the process of its weaving.

After he finished showing us actual weaving, he took us to his treasure trove of durries having different hues and patterns. These durries are made with different threads like that of cotton, silk, wool and hair of camels and goats etc. After that, he was kind enough to take us around his Dhani. It was a different experience altogether.

You can not imagine the grace of Durry Weaving and staying in a Dhani without a visit. I dare say that visit to Jodhpur is incomplete without visiting Budhraj Durry Udhyog and his Dhani. His mobile number is +91 8560831907. We wish him all the best for the success of his Udhyog.... Baldev Adhikari, Noida
