unfortunately the havelis are not being looked after and are slowly decaying. definitely worth getting a guide to take you around and show you the better havelis.

If you're into old buildings, stone carving and the history of how people lived in this area, please don't miss these havelis. Just a short walk out of the fort through the amazing narrow streets of Jaisalmer, you can certainly fill in an afternoon here.

There are 4, or possibly 5 Havelis here. The combined entrance fees could add up to be quite expensive. The best feature is the carved stone facade. You can see that from the street for free

The havelis in Jaisalmer are beautiful....they simply astound you with their elegance! Some of them are open for visitors, and I recommend you see at least one.. They also offer pretty views of the town and fort from the roof. They are simply too good...More

This house has incredible story, each half was built by two architects at the same time, so you can clearly see the differences. It is indeed a jewel! and the owners are great and proud of their ancestral house.

There are two havelis here. One is old and next to it is the new one. The best part of these havelis are the carvings in the havelis. Jaisalmer will never fail to mesmerise you when it comes to carvings and architecture.

Manek Chowk and Havelis are situated outside the beautiful Jaisalmer fort.This place has many Havelis and chowks.Manak Chowk is flooded with shops offerinf decorative leather works,ethnic silver jewelleries,craft works and antique pieces.

This havelis are so very beautiful, they display the intricate designs and carvings, you will want to capture it all in your cameras. Its at the walk-able distance from fort, with hawkers selling puppets and food stalls along the way. Place is a must watch...More
