The lake has been dry this year due to a poor monsoon season- so we could not appreciate the chatris which look pretty when they are partly submerged in water. There is a Jain temple which is lovely like most jain temples in the area- beautifully carved.

We enjoyed visiting this place, just walked around and then went for boating, make sure you don't take the boat at the end of lake as there is little water and mud and you can get stuck, there is no problem others will inform and someone will come for rescue but will be time wasting, enjoyed boating and we will... Very beautiful lake! You can walk right around it, and very near there are some stalls, an option to ride a pedal-boat for 100 rupees (two people) and also a small cultural museum (entry Rs. 10). Shame about the kids who stalked me around the lake and relentlessly asked me for some rupees.

We reached at night so we couldn't really make head or tail of the lake. But the surrounding was just lovely. It should be illuminated more so that visitors can at least sit by the lake at night.
