This little museum is very nice and welcoming. The founder is very kind and ready to explain in every language every detail. Every night they have 2 puppets show, typical from Rajastan, accompanied by wonderful musicians. Very recommended to visit!

Considering this is a private managed museum, hats off to the owner for keeping the tradition alive . Do spend 30 minutes for a guided tour and puppet tour

This modest little museum is lovingly put together (most of the signs are handwritten) by the owner who has been collecting pieces for years to tell the story of Jaisalmer’s history and the development of their culture. A guided tour will only take around 30-40 mins, given by the owner’s son who spoke pretty good English and was really funny! The tour cost 50rupees pp and an additional 150 (I think) for the puppet show in the evening. Great way to support a small local business.

An overstuffed collection of trivia that was difficult to figure out even though the owner/curator showed us around.

This is a small museum located near the Gadisar lake. Though this museum is small, we can get to see a lot of information here.

Collection in museum is good, staff of museum is little bit arrogent. Puppet show performance is of average level. They needs more practice for better show. Average show good for visitors who are first time experiencing puppet show. Ticket are higher side.

The museum depicts as of who founded the root of Rajasthan and what was the reason behind its inception

The entry to the museum was free of charge initially, they did not even for foreigners, but recently they’ve started charging 100 Rs per person.

There is a man who seems like maintaining the structure and he says that he gets no grant from the Government. He manages on his own. As a result the displays are dated and require a lot of reading.

Sometimes the museum gets boring as there is too much of information to be read.

The museum opens up at 10am in the morning. There is a puppet show that runs in the evening which is quite very popular.
