Glowing cenotaphs. Go during sunset.

After seeing the Ahar Cenotaphs at Udaipur I still was convinced I wanted to see the Bada Baag cenotaphs at Jaisalmer. So that was what I did first once I reached Jaisalmer. Go... read more

I visited on a morning. It is about 10-15 min tuk tuk ride. The place is a royal memorial to past kings. Nothing special to layman like me. Architecture is normal and commonly seen elsewhere. If you have time to spend, you can visit for an hour (max). Otherwise, you can skip. Not a must-see.

I am very much disappointed to see the entrance fees of this place it is 100 Rs each, but the worth of this place is very less. Not recommended

Bada bagh which simply means a big garden is located about 15 minutes away from the city, entailing a garden, a dam and a tank. Bada Bagh is also popular for the Cenotaphs or the monuments that were built as a memorial to the royal lineage consisting of numerous Bhatti rulers. It’s a quite scenic and comparatively less crowdy place... More

Nice small quiet place, lovely views, pretty structures... they have the samadhi of one of their king, lots of sculptures of gods and goddesses, once going is good and it won't take more than 30 minutes there. Good to go and get some pictures clicked.

After seeing the Ahar Cenotaphs at Udaipur I still was convinced I wanted to see the Bada Baag cenotaphs at Jaisalmer. So that was what I did first once I reached Jaisalmer. Go during or maybe an hour before sunset to spend an easy time there with your loved one. These cenotaphs are also made in sandstone texture and glow... More

Rs 100 per person + 100 for camera. Guide for 150 - he will explain everything in 5-7 minutes and disappear. Better read up on history if you decide to go. Guide is a waste of money. It is not maintained. Apparently there was supposed to be a large garden and hence the name bada bagh. There are monuments in... More

This place is well known for it's garden &cenotop of royal families. The view of sunset over the hill is superb. Only down side is that fee for the attraction is very high.

these set of Royal Cenotaphs are amazing in there architecture but after charging a good amount from the tourists they are still neglected. The cenotaphs are broken and the broken pieces instead of being restored.Be aware the supposed entry ticket. An added camera fee applies . Don't pay the camera fee. Just say no camera no photos. No entry tickets... More

Out of the city it offers views but the best time to go is sunset because of the light. Very nice building to photograph. Just pay a little for your ticket and you can walk around where ever you want.
