So we had been roaming around the fort area at Jaisalmer. The whole area is very beautiful. There are different points at this area one of them is at a height where there are very old war machines. This place where you can click a lot of pictures and pose around. There are a lot of cafes as well but... More

Jaisalmer's fort is still a living city and so there's fascinating architecture everywhere. Tourism is the main income, still people are very friendly and sincere. They are understandable proud of their heritage and we hope they can maintain everything the way it is. The audio-guided tour of the fort is absolutely recommendable.

Its worth a visit. Too much of commercial attitude. But still worth a visit. I went there with family and its has a lot of foreigners visiting the fort. I have seen better forts in rajasthan

Another great fort on our tour of Northern India. this one is lived in by 300 people and has lovely views plus the houses have lovely paintings when someone from that house has got married, with the date. Really interesting.,

Superb work of art. Built in 1100s, nothing to beat the design, the filigree work, the blend of stone wood, fossil pieces to keep out heat during summer, and the cold during extreme winters.

Hindu weddings, cows, tuks tuks, motorbikes.....it's fabulous. The views are stunning and the colour of the fort against the sky at sunset is worth it alone.

The Jaisalmer fort is very big, living fort. The review here is only for the Museum inside the fort and not the entire fort. The fort looks golden because of the yellow stone used to built it. The museum inside the fort, is mesmerizing. The audio guide inside the fort is a must to understand the fort properly. The staff... More

Great one. There's still people living on the inside, and there's hotels and shops or restaurants but it keeps the grace and the charm of an old city. Totally recommendable doing it, besides no entrance fee to get inside. It shall maybe be cleaner but Indian in general aint clean at all so... The views aint amazing but their buildings... More

8. Take auto and go to the war museum and back by 1530. (2.5 hrs sufficient for the to and fro journey and the museum visit?????)

9. visit patwon ki haveli and salim singh haveli by 1730.

10. Go to Gadisar lake at sunset time (i think this is not a sunset point, but read the reviews that this is good place to visit in the evenings)

11. Go to desert cultural museum and attend the puppet show at 1900.

12. Walk in the markets and End the day with dinner at 2200.

13. Take the train for Bikaner at 2300.

a. Is it worth going to the Desert national park if i am already spending 1 night in desert safari?

b. Read from reviews here that salim singh haveli and nathmalji ki haveli are average places and can be skipped. Is it correct?

c. Can Bada baug be accommodated anywhere in the itinerary or it is worth a skip?

Since, i dont have family and ladies along with me in this trip, i believe i wont waste time in the movement, local transport, eating joints and getting ready.

Please advice
