The palatial house was built for Salim Singh, prime minister of Jaisalmer, over 300 years back. The exquisitely carved arch roof is in the shape of a peacock. People still live here.

This Haveli is a beautifully built haveli as they are in Jaisalmer. However It is still under private control and looks as if in rundown state as compared to other havelis.A part of the most photographed top Portion has already been damaged.

Its one of the smallest and worst haveli I have visited. Its actually a old 3 story haveli type home with an entry fee of rs 30. Nothing especial to waste time visiting this.
