It is a must do experience in a lifetime! Fifu Camel offers a different kind of desert tour where you get to experience real desert ride on camel backs.

You won't get stacked with other tourists on the side of the road like we saw with many camps. It's the real deal, in the desert. You get the ride in jeep, meals and camel ride plus you get to sleep in the middle of the desert if you decide to do so (you could also decide to come back before the night). I would however recommend to sleep under the stars as it was probably my favorite part of the experience, it was totally mind blowing beautiful and trilling.

Also, our guide Soda was so friendly and caring, funny and trustworthy!

Do it! And Fifu Camel Safaris is the way to go!

Wonderful excursion to the Thar Desert!
We were only 3 participants, accompanied by a very friendly French traveler.
On the way we visited an abandoned village and a fort, but we particularly enjoyed the lake with all the local fauna that comes to drink there.
Then the camel excursion in the desert at sunset was magical, ending our journey on the sand dunes.
The afternoon ended with an excellent Thalis prepared over a wood fire by our guide Soda and the camel drivers, who took great care of us. Then the night under the stars on camp beds was unforgettable.
After a breakfast in the desert we rode camels before returning by jeep to the guest house.
Thank you again Soda for this magical moment!

We are two friends who loved this excursion to the Thar desert. After visiting abandoned remains and our camel ride, we admired the sunset. Then we enjoyed a delicious meal. One of the best we ate during our stay in India. Finally we went to bed under the stars under a sky studded with stars. The nights are cold in the Thar at this time of year, but we fell asleep very comfortably and well bundled up.
A special mention to Sodaji our guide for the day, who in addition to his culinary talents was extremely kind. He made sure we felt perfectly comfortable. I haven’t forgotten the master camel driver either. Don’t hesitate to book this activity through them which combines nature, calm and human encounters. Thank you Sodaji - it was one of the best parts of our stay in North India.

We left Jaisalmer in the early afternoon and drove into the desert. We had the opportunity to ride camels in the dunes, and at sunset we cooked typical Rajasthani food in a desert cam with locale people. An experience I will not forget!

With the family we spent an afternoon and a night in the desert. It was a very good quiet time. We didn't want to take a camel ride and preferred a walk and watch the sunset on a dune. In the evening there was a show with musicians and dancers then a good typical meal.
It was very well organized. Soda drove us with his 4x4 into the camp and he was always available to help us. He is really very nice.

We were picked up by jeep in the hotel and brought to the meeting place with the camels. From there we rode for 1 1/2 over the fields into the dunes, where a guide already started preparing the dinner over an open fire. the food was vegetarian and delightful.

the explanations were helpful to understand the work of the peasants. we didn't have a culture show, which we didn't mind missing.

Amazing day.
Hotel pick up was arranged to suit us and everything was clearly explained at the start.
We stopped at the abandoned Brahmin village, an oasis and fort before picking up the camels about 4:15.
Camels were friendly and the guides led them through the fields and into the dunes.
We had amazing masala tea before walking into the dunes to watch the sunset.
We returned to let it go dark and watched the stars before take the jeep back out of the desert for the ride home.
In the abandoned village was a room with bats in touching distance - they were flying in the daylight …..amazing.
We could have had an evening meal or even stayed under the stars - next time we will.
Great time. Mr Soda was really helpful and took great care of us.

I took a half-day trip because I didn't enough time to stay a night there, but still I could experience what l wanted to do. I really enjoyed camel ride, beautiful sunset, tasty food, and also night in the desert. It was quiet and peaceful experience far from other camping villages. You can visit and take dinner in the edge of a sandy desert -- I think that is the typical "desert" travelers expect, not rocky desert.

They were so professional.
I asked the owner, Mr.Fifu to plan a private tour for us, he quickly planned nice one with reasonable price!
We enjoyed super yummy village food, chai and playing kids. The villages were not at all touristic area, so you will be able to catch the glimpse of real desert village life...
Mr. Fifu is responsible person, you will enjoy your trip with no any worries in fifu camel safari and at his hotel also!
Highly recommend!!!

We really loved our safari with Fifu! At 2pm we left out hotel by jeep to see Kuldara, an abandoned, some say, haunted village, then to a lake oasis and last a small fort…then to the camp in the khouri section of the desert, where the camels were waiting. We rode the camels a short way into the desert sand dunes to watch the sunset, and then back to the camp for the cultural show. There were musicians singing and playing traditional instruments and music, but my favorite was the dancing. The two dancers were really incredible and mesmorizing. We also had a buffet dinner with traditional Ragisthani food while we watched the show. Afterwards we went to our tents, swiss tents which were really nice…with a king bed, full bathroom with hot water, AC, a heater, and all amenities. In the morning we got up early to watch the sunrise, breakfast and then drove back to our hotel, Meri Haveli. I had the best night sleep I’ve had in 10 years and would be happy to stay at the camp forever! Our driver, the camp staff, food, and accomodations were all really nice and we will definitely do it again next time we visit.
