They don't let you go into the palace in ticket. Only a museum watch available here and that is not worth seeing because photos are mainly displayed here. It will be better to choose gajner palace instead because at least you will see total palace in detail there. Here is nothing special or unique. If you love watching museum in real historical sense then go to Junagarh Fort. Here are only photographs of a family of this era. Better if they start palace visit because only then one can see architecture and glory of past era.

Quiet lunch in the regal setting of the Lalgarh hotel, with view over the gardens. The staff was very kind and attentive, also giving us a tour of the Art Deco swimming pool and explaining the history of the building. The pakora were delicious and at a good price.

The Lalgarh Palace is the residence of the current royal family, besides housing a museum and hotel. This is a huge and beautiful property with a lot of untapped potential. Apparently, it is run by the royal family themselves and in the absence of a backing from a large/big chain, its maintenance and service suffer.
The hotel looks run down (especially in comparison to the just adjacent and swanky Laxmi Niwas Palace) and could definitely do with an upgrade. It is a much larger property than Laxmi Niwas, with large spacious rooms and bathrooms. The indoor pool is a proper swimming pool with a shallow and deep end. The several courtyards give a feeling of openness and space. With some effort to improve the service and remodelling, it has the potential to become a premium palace hotel.

Yes full of area is filled by Fort and Garden area.You can vist whole area but from out side only . if you are stay in This Fort Hotel Then you can easily visit all area inside building also.
A separate ticket is required for visit the museum .
In this you can see private things and photographs of King's Royal Family .
Must wear cap and water bottle,
Wear ease and soft shoes .

After a long drive from Jaipur, the moment our car entered the premises of Lalgarh Palace, it was majestic. Felt every bit of royalty. Being a part of tech world our priority always remains "wifi" however the moment we realised that wifi is not available in the palace rooms we were very much disappointed. Also due to the palace's location out of the town there were not much options of entertainment.
To our surprise when a group of folk artists started their local music the entire ambience was changed and mesmerising. Once engrossed in the local music we did not pay much attention to wifi. We also booked ourself for a buffet meal at the palace. The catering department of the palace is excellent. Each and every staff had a smiling face and are trying to give their best service. Since the buffet menu were missing few of the Rajasthani delicacies due to guests' preferences, which the manager realised and he did not hesitate to specially serve us two additional dishes along with the buffet menu which were Gatte ki sabji and Ker Sangri, these sort of hospitality is what a customer always looks for. I highly recommend this palace who are looking to live few days like a royal.

Interesting museum which focuses almost entirely on the rajas family and history, less on the city or region more generally. Unfortunately the palace is now a tourist hotel and is not generally open to visitors, although my wife used her charm to find her way inside and look around. The palace grounds are attractive.

Its a palace built in the late 50s or 40s but a eye treat. Made with utmost style using the most famous rajasthani red stone. Every inch of the palace is with this stone. We went for Lunch since we were guided by the team at Narendra Bhavan where we stayed.
The gentleman at the elm of front office was so kind enough to explain the the history and too us around the palace at the areas which are allowed. We also had a sneak peak at the place where the maharaja had his own train come in right behind his back yard.
We had a table in the inner quadrangle and was a sight to see the place and savour the food. They do a lot of weddings in this place because the place is fabulous and many a celebrities have conducted their events at this place.
Each of the rooms in this palace is a worth of its own.

In the palace only the museum is open to general public and that too on ticket. The palace is closed on Sundays. Museum has photographs & collections of the Royal Family. To see the inside area of the palace you need to stay here or have lunch or dinner. The palace is very beautiful & worth a visit. Adequate parking facilities are available inside the palace.

The Palace is beautiful and grand. Our room was huge (almost the size of a badminton court) with a side dressing room as well. There were stuffed animal trophies everywhere which gave me the feeling of the olden days when hunting was a favorite royal pastime. There were pictures of the royal family on all the walls. The food was amazing. The menu was limited but whatever was there was cooked to perfection. The staff at the restaurant was prompt in service. The museum in the palace grounds was good though for the real experience try to stay in the palace. The prices were reasonable for such an extraordinary place. The lawns in the front and the back were massive and stunning. One small issue was that there was no one at the entrance of the property when we reached which was odd. I have never faced that ever in any hotel I stayed. There was always someone to welcome or greet you.

The place is very well maintained, as a heritage hotel very few of the properties are that well maintained. Delicious food, well organised neat & clean rooms shows absolute perfection & royal taste of India. Staff is very professional & mannered that we will have a kingly feel during our stay.

Lalgarh palace is a fantastic hotel and it's worth staying there and staff is so cooperative and food is so tasty and F&b is so gooddddddd
