Visited this century with couple of more people with me .Its was a amazing and worth going experience.

Sundowners end of the tour was icing on cake during this tour .

We had been lucky enough to see wild bores and many birds around there .

I would strongly recommend. Its must visit while you are in bikaner .

A great conservation centre for raptors
Dec 2020 • Friends
Jorbeer was in my to do list during my visit to Bikaner armed with my bird watching camera and lens . We contacted the conservatory and they instructed the dos and donts. 10 of us in 2 cars was a great experience in sighting the great birds several sub species and some Egyptian vultures also.

It was a life time experience.
The dogs in the sanctuary are aggressive so be careful while stepping out of the car

Dead cattle are brought here for skinning and the left overs are scavenged by the birds and dogs who look well fed and healthy.

Certain places you may fell the stench but it’s ok

An Amazing Experience with Jitu Solanki
Dec 2019
We have visited Jorbeer Conservation Reserve on Dec 2019.

Jorbeer is an animal carcass dumping area in the outskirts of Bikaner city of Rajasthan. The place is a favorite haunt of vultures, eagles, falcons and other carnivorous birds. The place is a government approved area for dumping of animal carcasses.

Our guide Jitu Solanki made this birding trip memorable. He is a true gentleman and knowledgeable person. Also he is very flexible about the planning and trip advisory skill.

We stay at Jitu's home stay (which is very comfortable and the atmosphere is homely). The food (made by Jitu's wife) was really so delicious.

Jorbeer Conservation Reserve is a paradise for vulture and raptor lovers. If you really like to capture them through your lens you must visit this place. And I highly recommend Jitu Solanki as a guide (without proper guide it is not possible to get the proper information and frames).

RAPTOR HEAVEN!!
Feb 2020
Probably only visited by very keen birdwatchers, Jorbeer is a haven for Raptors. Camel and cow carcasses are dumped here which in turn attracts all types of carrion eating raptors. This place blew my mind as a keen birdwatcher. There is obviously quite a strong smell but you actually forget about that once you start seeing the birds. The large number of dogs here seem to be a bit of a problem though and be quite aggressive so care needs to be taken if outside a vehicle. Sunset is a perfect time to get amazing silhouette shots of raptors against the sun setting. A must visit as a birdwatcher. If you'd like to visit with a fabulous bird guide, I highly recommend doing a safari with Dr Jitu Solanki from Vinayak Guest House in Bikaneer. He knows Jorbeer very well and will do his very best to find you the birds you'd like to see.

Only for strong hearted bird watchers
Dec 2018 • Family
At a distance of 15 km from Bikaner, Jorbeer birding is not for the weak hearted. An unusual way to capture the endangered predators on camera, Jorbeer is in fact a dumbing yard for dead animal carcasses. These dead beings provide a feast of sorts for the prey avian species and one can sight some of the most endangered vultures and eagle species in this dumping yard.

Sign boards
No entry ticket hence no one to share the information
Scary for tourist & not much information available on Internet
Not nicely maintained

Visit to Jorbeer Conservation Reserve
Oct 2018 • Friends
Jorbeer is an animal carcass dumping area in the outskirts of Bikaner city of Rajasthan. It is worth a visit if you are a keen bird watcher and can brave the stench from carcasses there.
I reached there around 8 in the morning and the party was on. Never seen so many varieties of birds feasting on animal carcasses.
The place is a favorite haunt of vultures, eagles, falcons and other carnivorous birds. I saw some dogs too feasting on the meat there. The place is a government approved area for dumping of animal carcasses. You can drive into the place, or watch from watch tower.

A Heaven for Vulture Lovers
Feb 2018 • Solo
Jorbeer Conservation Reserve is only 15 kilometre from my current residence. Now it is also known as IBA(Important Bird & Biodiversity Area). As I told that seven species of vultures are available here, I could experience two of them Long Billed and King Vulture. Yet the biodiversity wise this place is heaven but for tourism point of view
this is not developed. You need to carry your water and food from nearest city Bikaner. Jeep compass or Renault Duster kind of SUV is the best choice to explore Jorbeer Conservation Reserve.
