We took a package from Bhati desert camp for the activities in the desert. The activities one can do here is dune bashing in Jeep, a thrilling trip on ATB and a camel ride. The sunsets are mesmerizing here. Also make sure you take some time to view the star studded sky at night.

We hired a jeep for desert safari in the Sam dunes to That desert. Desert safari ride is a must if you are in the desert. There are three desert and the last one is the That desert. The best time to go is either Sunrise or Sunset. You will find many camels, bikes and other performers at the Thar desert. It is quite crowded in the evening when we went. You get some fantastic pics in the desert.

No trip to Rajasthan is complete without a Desert Safari in the Thar Desert. You can choose to take the camel or a jeep. Although, a camel safari is always so much fun. Sunrise is the best time to witness while sitting on a camel. It is an amazing experience!! So much fun.

Beautiful sceneries and some sand-dunes. Do not expect to find the Sahara Desert here, but you can find some patch of sand-dunes and spend a night or two in the open. The sky is amazing at night especially in the absence of the Moon...

Most people will opt for an organized tour: A major tourist trap in Jaisalmer.

Have in mind that you can find tours for an overnight stay with food and sleep under the stars &Camel ride for 1000-1200Rs (Oct 2018).

The same tours will be sold by hostels, on the street and agencies for 1500-2500Rs. My friends paid 2100Rs and the quality of the amenities was worse that of the tour that costed 1200Rs. So it is a major scam.

There are also other tours that offer tents and entertainment...

Rajasthan is incomplete without visiting Jaisalmer, It is correct to say it golden city, well connected by major means of transport. One should stay in sand dunes to enjoy Jaisalmer to the fullest, a night in dunes includes folk event n safari to desert.

All type of travel enthusiast must have this place in their wishlist.

Have a visit to Village of Kuldhara on way back to Jaisalmer from Thar, considered as ghost town, communicate with locals to know about the place, its a worth visit destination and is on way.

Wonderful experience. Stayed there for a night in a sleeping bag, beside the camp fire, under the stars.

Well amazing experience at Thar Desert. The mighty Thar Desert, also sometimes sobriquet the Great Indian Desert, is located in the western part of India mostly in the state of Rajasthan.

Jeep safaris are considered as the fast and comfortable way to explore the beauty of Thar Desert. Its is a smoother and more comfortable ride.
