It took us around 3 hours to reach Dawki from Shillong after all the stops in between. We went until the end of the village where the India-Bangladesh border comes. The roads were very bad. Around 2-3 km stretch was like there is no road....More

Must go and stay one night near dawki home stay or tents ...good experience..and way to explore the river and staying with locals of Meghalaya

Yes it would be open in may, but not sure how much water you will find in summers. And summers are too hot in Dawki and Cherapunjee. Its very dry during this time. Dawki takes lot of time and combining Cherapunjee sight... More
