It's originally was a zoo built by Nana Fadanvis for young Peshawe in 18th century. The zoo was operational till recently (about 15 yrs ago) now all animals are shifted to Katraj Park (Rajiv Gandhi zoo). Now though it's called energy park, there is nothing remained in working condition. The famous fulrani (toy train) is also not working for unknown reasons. The only attraction now are the adventure games for young ones. A major makeover is needed get park in its original haydays. It's not a zoo anymore, there are no animals.
Restrooms / toilets: Very unhygienic restrooms, you can't even think of going nearby.
Picnic area: no special picnic area with tables.

Peshwe Udyaan Zoo is huge garden for KIDS just behind sarasbaug. This was earlier a Zoo and later on it is developed as a Kids Garden. There is ticket for this and you are not allowed to enter without kids.

Makes sure you carry have enough eatables and water with you as Park actually needs lots of energy to cover it. Also nature of slides and games are such that you cant let your kid do that alone.
Overall a very well developed park for kids and a must visit in center in Pune.

Note : Avoid Weekends and national holidays as this is super crowded on this days

Please avoid this place on weekends as it gets too much crowded. There is an entrance fee to enter the park. For mini train you have to purchase a separate ticket. Not advisable for young children below the age of 5. It's just besides saras baug you can easily reach here by rickshaw charge or any public transport, there is a parking lot available for paid parking but due to the the crowd I suggest not to take your own car there. Overall a decent place but definitely not a must visit place.

It is called energy park & true to it's name the energy over here will be your kids who will be really excited. There is no electric power & the only power is your kids & of course yours for some rides. It has really amazing rope activities with varying obstacles. There are also other rides with simple motion concept which is informative to your child & also enjoyable. We went in the afternoon so did not explore the energy section & other informative sections they have, will go again to explore that for sure. Overall a unique place with simple & amazing concepts, worth multiple visits & am sure your kid will not be bored. Pay & park is available just outside the park.

This is no longer a Zoo and you need to have a kid with you to enter.
They have converted this is an Energy park and lot of rides and activitiesfor children linked to Physics. Some of them are adventure activities as well.
Many of the so called energy conservation models were closed, am not sure why.
The games and rides were excellent my kids enjoyed a lot. There is a toy train as well.
One thing guaranteed your kids will be exhausted if you do all the activities.

Peshwe Udyan Zoo is located next to Saras Baug in Pune . It is maintained by the Pune Municipal Corporation. With pleasant lawns and the famous Ganesh temple built by Madhavrao Peshwa, Saras Baug is a popular evening spot in Pune. An exquisitely landscaped place with excellent well manicured lawns and well lit fountains, a recourse where one can relax especially during the evenings. Evening is the also the best time to visit this garden and have a taste of the cuisine available at the food stalls nearby if one gets hungry.

It was converted from zoo to Energy park which is now closed. Equipments for energy generation like Solar panels, Biogas plant etc. are available for display but various pavilions for each type of energy are closed. Now they have again converted to adventure sports for kids. Games are challenging based on age and personnel are available for warning if different age game is being tried by kids. Park and games are maintained well. Another attraction is toy train (Phulrani) for kids.Time is 10 am - 1 pm and 2 pm - 6 pm.
