Also visit Saint Darshan Museum which shows history of our saints tradition of Maharashtra culture. Kids will also enjoy this place.

I like this place very much abs visiting regularly since 2012.

We visited this site on our marriage anniversary and enjoyed a lot. Nature here is at its best.

There was a huge positive change as adventure sports, boat riding & many more things are added.

Vitthal & Rakhumai madir & Sai are simply superb & one gets divine power whenever you visit here

It’s a good package - Spiritual, sports, enjoyment & food etc are good

Hadshi Temple from Pune you have to go to Chandni Chowk, then Pirangut, then Paud – In the direction of tamhini/Mulshi. In Paud, take the right turn just after the Bus Stand. After this keep going straight towards Pavana Dam/Tikona, then you will start seeing signboards. At a fork after around 15 kms, the road to the left will be rch Hadshi Temple.
After the rch, there is a short drive up the hill you get to the first temple which is next to the parking and as you cross it and go behind, the beauty of the place hits you. The temple is right in the middle of mountains and has huge very well maintained grounds on both sides.
Best time to visit - Rainy Season

Hadshi Temple is one of excellent location near Pune. Located on top of hills and surrounded by beautiful greenery. A must visit place in rainy days.

The place is located around 60 KMs from Pune. It is nearer to famous Girivan Resort. You can take road from Chandni Chowk to Pirangut. From Pirangut you have to travel towards Paud Gaon. From Paud Gaon it is around 20 KMs. From Paud Gaon you have to take road to Kolwan. Road from Paud Gaon to Hadshi about 15 KMs patch is not good and contains so many potholes. But the hill road to the temple, around 2KMs is really good, since it is private.
There is only one small hotel near temple which provides snacks and tea. Don't forget to eat Poha in that hotel! Its really nice in rainy days!!

The temple is on top of the hill and it is in middle of the mountains. So you will really love the natural beauty around the temple. There is also one small lake and huge garden on top.
Cleanliness of the temple (inside and outside) is really impressive. Lord Pandurang and Sai Baba Idols are very beautiful. You are not allowed to touch fruit trees around the temple otherwise you have to pay fines.. :)

Pavana Dam is also nearby. From Pavana dam, there is one more place called PRATI PANDHARPUR-DUDHIWARE. But it is around 25Kms. It is also a must visit place. It is located in small forest. It is temple of Saint Tukaram.

If you are tired of your daily routine and want some peace of mind these two places are really worth!!

Temple Timings: 7 am to 7.45 pm Free Entry Free parking for 2 & 4 wheelers

PS:
Temple has very very very spacious green lawns on both side of temple with Swings & Slides for children. Mostly children like to run have fun play on Swing / Slide & this temple does provide it.

From parking area, first thing you will come across is canteen located adjacent to parking area & Sant Darshan Museum opposite to canteen. Toilet facility is at front right corner in parking area. Separate toilet for gents & ladies. Photos of parking area with toilet is attached & tagged accordingly.

Sant Darshan Museum Timings: 9 am to 1 pm & 1.30 pm to 7 pm

Photo is attached & tagged accordingly. Good thing is that free photography is allowed inside museum.

Museum Entry Fee:

a) Rs. 75/- for children 5 to 12 years

b) Rs. 100/- for all above 12 years

PS:
Please spend money happily. You will be amazed at a very innovative idea of sculptures of Saints & Gods carved in most creative way on side walls of caves. Time required 20 to 30 minutes. Please do visit the museum, I repeat please do visit the museum. For me it is the best creative museum.

I have seen the:

a) Best sculptures work at Neekanteshwar temple, BAPS Swami Narayan temple & Katraj Jain temple

b) Best wall painting at Iskcon temple, Shatrunjay temple, Krishna temple, Jalaram temple & Gaatha temple

This museum sculptures are first of its kind. Gaatha Temple is also one such a very unique innovative & novel creation of scriptures & sculptures on wall.

Carvings (of saints, gods & great personalities) on black background wall & white background curved wall is the most ultimate sight for eyes. See the pictures attached with appropriate tag.

Free footwear stand at 2 locations:

a) At entrance in front of Ganpati temple near museum or canteen

b) In front of the main temple. It is at 100m distance from entrance / Ganpati temple / museum or canteen

PS:
Prefer to walk with footwear till main temple as sometimes the tiles are hot because of the heat of the sun during hot weather.

Small ordinary canteen timings: 11 am to 7 pm

It has sitting arrangement of tables & chairs in a temporary shade.
Photo is attached & tagged accordingly.

Canteen menu given below: (Biscuits & chips are also available)

a) Bhel Rs. 35

b) Sabudana Khichdi Rs. 35

c) Pohe Rs. 30

d) Tea Rs. 15

e) Coffee Rs. 25

f) Kanda Bhaji Rs. 35

Special arrangement for people unable to walk or climb:

a) Free wheel chair facility from parking area to temple & back

b) Lift facility

PS:
I am seeing this special feature by temple for first time. Excellent Planning.

Sitting arrangement for relaxing & enjoying green nature around:

a) There are specially constructed shades on the lawn at four corners

b) There are benches on the edges of lawns

If you are interested in meditation or calm & peaceful environment then

c) Sit inside Vithal Rukmini temple on top floor

(the entrance is on your centre right side if you face temple)

If you are fond of literature on Spiritualism then read the scriptures on the inside walls of:

a) Vithal Rukmini temple on top floor

b) Saibaba temple on ground floor

PS:
The soul touching spiritual literature of Shri Satyasai Baba is worth reading & has been nicely scripted on the walls inside the temple. It is in Marathi & Hindi language.

One scripture says, As a God, I am everywhere, so neither I ask you to come & meet me at temple nor I ask you to bring flowers, garland coconut or prasad kind of thing to please me.

That’s why following temples are without any garland or coconut shop:
Iskcon
BAPS Swami Narayan
Prati Balaji
Jain Temples
Shri Satyasai temple.

PS:

a) Photography inside the top & ground floor temple is prohibited

b) Visitors are free to take photos outside temple

Route to this temple from Pune:

Reach Chandni chowk by road. Follow road going to Paud.

The route is very very easy. I have made easy to understand road tips below. If you can follow it correctly, I am sure you will reach without asking anybody on road. Still if doubt persists in your mind at any junction please ask, do not hesitate:

Keep going straight from Chandni chowk to reach Mutha Hinjawadi junction.
Left side road goes to Mutha & right side to Hinjawadi. Straight road goes to Paud.
So follow straight road to Paud to reach Paud Kolvan “Y” junction.

b) Mutha Hinjwadi junction to Paud Kolvan “Y” junction – 13.7 km

At this junction, left side road leads to Paud, Mulshi, Tamhini ghat & right side road to Kolvan. So follow right side road to Kolvan.

c) Paud Kolvan junction to Kolvan village – 12 km

Keep going straight on main road till you reach Kolvan village.

d) Kolvan village to “Y” junction at Shri Satyasai temple name sign construction on main road – 1.8 km

Left side road i.e. road below Shri Satyasai temple name sign construction goes to temple. Right side road to Lonavala as well as few other places including Tikona fort at 7 km from this spot.

So follow left side road below Shri Satyasai temple name sign construction, go straight for 300 meter then take left turn on seeing the Santdarshan museum sign board on your left at the T junction.

e) From T junction to temple parking area – 1.7 km

Follow the road driving up the hill leading to temple parking area.

Non veg food lovers:

a) There are excellent Non Veg restaurants on route from Chandni chowk to Pirangut namely:

Maratha Lunch Home opposite Bhugaon bus depot

Manav Resorts (provides excellent river view)

Malvan Baithak (with ancient darbaar style sitting arrangement) For Sea Food,

Mutnawal (nice ambience, we had dinner here of chicken & mutton thali with bhakari, the rassa is excellent rate Rs. 230 & 180 for thali)

Savoji

Aaisaheb & few more restaurants.

b) On Paud to Kolvan route there is only one good restaurant named Hotel Rajmudra. It is at 11 km from Paud Kolvan junction. It is located on right side of road. It is veg / non veg restaurant.

Petrol Pumps:

a) There are plenty of petrol pumps on route from Chandni chowk to Pirangut

b) There is only 1 petrol pump on route from Paud Kolvan junction to Kolvan at village called Kule which is 7 km from Paud Kolvan junction & 4 km before Hotel Rajmudra. It is located on right side of road. Timings are 7 am to 9 pm. Cards are also accepted. This pump does have shop for tyre repair as well as for filling air in tyres.

Places to see nearby:

1) Chinmaya Vibhooti Temple

It is located at 1 km before Kolvan village on route from Paud Kolvan junction to Kolvan. It is on right side of road.

This temple has an excellent Ganpati Idol you will have ever seen. Temple is simple providing good green mountain views all around. Temple has Ashtavinayak Ganpati idols on top wall in octagon pattern.

At the entrance gate, make the entry & follow the main road for 1.7 km on the hill that ends at temple parking on back side.

After seeing the temple & green views while returning back to gate, stop at the turn 50 meter before entrance gate.

There is a Maruti temple on your left. Visit it too. The Maruti Idol is also a unique one.

You can see Chinmaya Vibhooti temple after your visit to Shri Satyasai Pandurang temple. It is at 1 km after Kolvan village on your left.

It is at 7 km from the Shri Satyasai Pandurang Kshetra name sign construction. Go straight for 5 kms & then take right & drive for 2 km to parking area on your right. From parking area you have to walk a bit to the start of the actual trek. It is a easy trek of 30 minutes.

At one point there are 30 to 40 steep near to vertical steps of one and half foot distance between each & you have to climb up using the rope on side.

There is no shade on the top of the fort. It is a very small fort. The top area does provide magnificent 360 degree views around of green mountains, serene scenic pavna lake & nearby forts Tung, Visapur, Lohgadh etc.

Helpful tips on planning this trip in the best way:

1. The tour we did on 2nd Oct 2017 from 1 pm to 8 pm.
(Visited first Palase Water Fall, Mulshi View Point, Satyasai Temple & Chinmaya Vibhooti Temple)

I was with my neighbour his wife & his infant less than 2 years old. It was my neighbour’s birthday & he asked me a day before for a good sightseeing outing with a scenic nature.

We started at 1 o clock from Pune & straight away went to Hotel Hill View restaurant at Mulshi constructed on over 10 meter height from road providing a very scenic view of river from top. Neighbour was very glad with the scenic views. We had non veg lunch of chicken & mutton.

Then we went to Mallikarjun / Palase Waterfall at Mulshi. My neighbour was delighted to see the waterfall.

Then we were to drive further, cross full Tamhini Ghat & return seeing the splendid scenic views of Tamhini Ghat route. I told him Tamhini Ghat is stretching to 33 km so better to skip it this time as we we will be unable to visit Shri Satyasai temple. So started our return journey from waterfall to Paud Kolvan junction.

While descending down on the Mulshi ghat road, there is an excellent view point at following two restaurant locations:

a) Saiba Hills

b) Hotel Green Hills

Above restaurants are at 200 meter distance from each other. Both restaurants provide views to see green nature paradise at its best.

This is the most magnificent view of greenery you will find near to Pune. My neighbour was elated.

We spent few minutes for photography then headed straight to Shri Satya Sai Pandurang Kshetra temple.

On reaching temple first we saw the museum. My neighbour & his wife were awestruck on seeing the creative museum.

Further on seeing the spacious green lawn my neighbour said his kid loves such green lawn environment & he will leave his kid on his own to play & enjoy. Both were very glad on seeing scenic green nature all around the temple as well scenic views on 1 km route before the temple.

Then we visited the main temple & headed to Chinmaya Vibhooti temple. Neighbour was very pleased to see such a unique idol of Ganpati & Maruti plus good green views all around the temple.

I said to my neighbour, whatever places I had planned to show you are over now. He felt very thankful to me by saying “You did took me to:
• Eye pleasing places (scenic nature)
• Mind pleasing places (temples)
• Tongue pleasing places (non veg restaurants)

Further he said, soon will plan Tamhini Ghat trip.

2. If you are a trek lover then visit Tikona fort first then Satyasai temple & Chinmaya Vibhooti temple.

3. If you are a nature lover then visit Mulshi view point, Palase waterfall, Tamhini ghat, then Satyasai temple & Chinmaya Vibhooti temple.

PS:

a) If you wish to see beautiful sunset view at Tamhini Ghat then visit first Satyasai temple, Chinmaya Vibhooti Temple, Mulshi view point, Palase water fall & Tamhini ghat.

b) Tamhini ghat route is blessed with most magnificent splendid & spectacular views of river & green mountains.

PS:
If you want to enjoy bathing under Palase waterfall then visit soon till the time water is available. Do carry towels & extra set of clothes.

In this review, best photos with appropriate tag are attached for better understanding, photos of:

a) Palase waterfall

b) Mulshi view point

c) Satyasai temple premises

d) Chinmaya Vibhooti temple
are attached to give you the best feel of the places you will see.

Hope my review will enable you to plan your trip in the best way.

All the best.
