Amazing place with breathtaking views! Great for a day trip. Indian mythology truly comes alive at this place! Along with a short trek, it’s a must visit place for everyone!

Best example of nature beauty. Climate is pretty cool. I can only say that this place is nainitaal of pune.there are many statues which express the mythological stories . This place is perfect combo of natural beauty and mytholgy. So don't waste your time and visit neelkantheshwar for experiencing the true nature. I will suggest to visit this temple in rainy or winter season.

You have to walk around 3+ kms from parking to get to the temple. The trail is green and one sees beautiful lakes, villages on the trail. The approach road is not that great so be careful. Temple itself is big & has nice themed park attached to it. Definitely visit if you love trekking. Also, would recommend visiting in daylight as its remote.

Avoid it if you kids or senior folks along. The walk up is long & strenuous.

The Neelkanteshwar temple is nestled on the top of a small hill between Khadakwasla and Panshet dam.It is the ideal place to experience nature as well as mythology. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are so many statues depicting Hindu mythology.Must take camera with you to take photographs with the statues which looks very beautiful.

Hi

We visited last week with kids, nice place and experience, bit difficult for kids.

I would suggest to reach by 8am in the morning, which is the right time to start climbing.

Road is too bad in last 4-5kms,I am surprised, place is near pune and road condition is too bad.

Good place with several statues depicting Hindu mythological stories. No food options nearby and have parking facility.

I visited the place last week and was not much aware of the trek and what to expect there. There is no information available at the parking from where one begins the trek. One should be aware of the hardship of the trek and the path is very steep and uneven. There is not information also available about what you can expect on reaching the temple site. Otherwise it could be your motivation to reach there anyhow and enjoy the scenic beauty along with Darshan as well as the narration of stories from Ramayan and Mahabharat by way of full size statues.
