A unique museum demonstrating the evolution of transportation system in India. Its a small room where the model is built by the owner. Its basically a show of around 25 min with a narration. Most of it was functional but in some cases the operator had to physically push the vehicles which was funny. It showed that the model requires maintenance badly. Also the narration in the background should be upgraded with current times, it was sounding to naive. Overall a good experience for the kids. Chsrges are Rs. 120 person. You need to remove your footwear before entering the room. Parking is available in the bylanes. Wait time is approx 15 min as the shows are in batches. There are a lot of options around for food.

Surprise Surprise, this is Just a Big Room (Single) with a Big Display as you see on their Youtube video. Quite underwhelmed.
It is just 20-25 minutes, with one model in motion at a time. The audio recording was good entertainment, but does not cover for the lack of engagement.
There is no other experience or activity to engage oneself. You just watch, listen and leave the premises post the show.
My son called it a scam, but primarily coz he has seen much better.
If you are a local and stay closeby, perhaps this is fine for you.

If you are interested in railways and stuff like that.
You might want to consider going to this place.
The place is actually for small children as they have done up a museum of railway the old one's and the new trending one's. They also have some small shows of how the railways work.

1.Started in 1998, this museum is must for all ages. You will be mesmerizing by the mini trains and cars.
2.Entry is not free and you have to buy the ticket and wait as they run the show every 1 hr.
3.Audio is good in the show and room has AC so it is comfortable.
4.Checkout the pics upload and do plan the visit asap.
5.You can buy small train also after the show. However they are too expensive. We just bought the train keychain.
6.4 wheeler parking can be hard to get.
7.Timing is 9:30 am – 5:00 pm for Monday to Friday and 9:30 am – 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Saturday. Only 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Sunday

To my best knowledge, this is india's only miniature railway museum.

Kids will surely love this place. They have created an imaginary city of miniatures and have miniature train models running through the city. The show lasts for 20-25 mins and its definitely worth a watch

The models and dusty and they need to improve on management but the efforts of Mr. Joshi are tremendous and that is also recorded in Limca book of records

If you are visiting Pune with children, or have relatives and children visiting you in Pune, and are not sure how to entertain them, this place is an absolute must-see.

Located in Kothrud, this museum has a very lively experience of model railways.

It can be very entertaining for both - the children, and the child in you.

Parking in Kothrud is a challenge. It would be best to hire a taxi or a rickshaw.

Amazing piece of work by an individual. The effort put in by an enthusiast and the immaculate arrangements to demonstrate the functioning of the railways is inspiring. Must visit for young children.

Went there with two curious children in tow and in complete anticipation of a wonderful museum. For the amazing name, it was not worth it. It seemed more like a toy place put up. There is a good collection, but not properly marketed and showcased. Moreover, when we went the whole narration was in Marathi. They had headphones which translated into English, but only one was working. Somehow, it was a disappointment!

Be prepared for a tiny, cramped, musty place that kills whatever little excitement you muster up after seeing the bare-bones "office/workshop". It's a single show(?) and not a museum operated by a person who looks like you ruined her day by turning up at the museum. The model trains went off-track several times and had to be manually adjusted. The narration was completely out of sync and the operator couldn't care less. Children tend to be happy with even small stuff but this place managed to dampen even their spirits. I'd say save your time to go visit something more worthwhile.

a very good effort by mr joshi and his staff to create some information about the railways... kids will definitely love the miniature models and mini men and women.. which dot the museum , adults may surely find faults about minor things.. but i guess we have stopped looking at the world from a childs point of view.. do go here.. if you have kids along with you, they would love it... and yes they do have a lunch break between 1 pm and 2 pm so you better plan your visit accordingly..
