This is a huge market with fruits, vegetables, flowers all available. At any festival the place is filled with colorful ornaments and decor that one needs to go and buy. Treat for the ladies.

The covered market is breathtaking, all the produce glisteningly fresh and beautifully displayed. Such huge variety, too. Interesting outdoor markets as well, particularly the row of stalls with items for puja. There's a charming and not too crowded Ganesh temple by one of the market entrances, well worth wandering up a little to the left of the temple to the... More

If you're claustrophobic or you easily suffer panic attacks don't go there. Too many people, cars, motorbikes, children and mendicants (a few). VERY difficult to park. I went there in the auto-rickshaw (Tuk-Tuks)... More

Beautiful old buiding specially for selling vegetable by vegetable merchant. Here lies famous Lord Ganesh statue which is also known as Mandai Ganpati. This place is also known as Mandai. I have been here many times. Always very crowded and you get ot of options for less expensive house hold things nearby this place.

Phule market populaly known as "mandai" offers excellent variety of fresh vegetables and fruits be it even exotic veggies as good prices. the best part is that it is open all day long except the fact that the farmers are more in number in the morning.

The market is always crowded because fruits and vegetable are available at lower cost than other places in the city, but not always - on Sundays and holidays it's comparable or... More
