No. 1 museum in Pune
Dec 2018 • Couples
Number of artifacts and the super built-up area of this museum surely makes this one as Number one in Pune.
You need at least 2 hours to cover this museum properly.

Nice meusium in Pune city

Kelkar meuseum is one of attraction of town.
We had a trip along with kids and it made us curious to know about all artifacts and history related to it. The meuseum to be visited by taxi or rental car as there is space constraint on main road. The meuseum is three floor and is well maintained. Worth to spent time with family and good learning place for kids.

Great look at local culture

I really enjoyed the museum but, it was 108 degrees out and there's no air conditioning in the building. there were multiple fans setup to help take the bite off the heat. If you want to take pictures, it's an extra few $$ but I think worth it. One visit for me was probably enough as there's a lot culture to explore.

So far I have found this the best museum in Pune. Not very long to get you bored. Not very crowded either. Has some nice collections and well maintained. A must visit if you are into museums.

Best in Pune

It is the best museum in Pune. It has a lot of artifacts and the whole range to show you some hint of Pune's history. They have a lot of collections which are not on display due to the space issue. There was no good ventilation when I visited. Hope they make it big or move to a suitable place.

A must visit for history buffs

A private museum spread over three levels and having a vast collection of varied interesting exhibits will bind you for at least 3 hours, if not more. The place is on a narrow road and finding a parking slot for the vehicle is hard.

Museum is worth visiting!
May 2019 • Business
This is the museum with the biggest number of exhibits I have ever seen. It is very interesting, you can see a lot of different weapons to musical instruments, tools, fabrics etc, which all originate from India. To take a photo inside you have to pay for professional camera around 500 rupees, and for cell phones I think around 200 rupees. It is museum with 3 floors, and you need around 3hours to walk slowly and to see everything.
