Khandi is arena of waterfalls. Jagtap waterfall, Thokarwadi waterfall, Lalwadi waterfall, and Bendewadi waterfall are famous waterfalls in Khandi. We had been Bendi waterfall in the month of Jul'23.

Bendewadi waterfall is hidden gem of Khandi area which is unknown beautiful waterfall located in Bendewadi village of Maval taluka. This region turns into a wonderful land of waterfall in the monsoon area. Surrounding area is flooded with more than 20 waterfalls including Small and Big falls.

We started from Pune @ 08:30 am via old Mumbai highway and it took us two and half hours to reach there. There Village local people are maintaining Parking as well as dress change facility. Only thing is Parking area is congested. Better to reach there in the early hours so that you will have pleasant trip. There is Entry ticket of 20 INR collected by localities. Water coming from top of the mountain with force and one can go inside that water fall with easy access.

Best Time to Visit:
Without second though best time to visit is peak Monsoon.

This was a short road trip in search of lesser know Waterfalls when monsoon just began in Pune in June.
There are number of waterfalls on the way to Khandi. From Pune, catch the old Mumbai-Pune highway and take a right turn at Kanhe phata towards Kanhe. Drive straight Kanhe->Vadeshwar - >Khandi.
The way towards Waterfall is Adventurous, finding your way amidst rocks and flowing water is fun. You can spend half day here. Carry food, snacks if you are planning to spend entire day. There are no good restaurants once you cross Kanhe.
The drive is very picturesque and pleasant. Happy Monsoons.. ❤️

Hello, Today would like to review a hidden gem of waterfall before Khandi village. Take NH4 and drive until Kanhe phata(chowk). Take a left (if coming from Pune) and drive straight for another 25kms. You'll see a village board for Bendewadi on your left. Search for attached contacts house. Waterfall is 10mins walking distance from this village. Food and changing rooms are also available at this house. So go ahead and get drenched in a safe and clean waterfall.

This place wonderful and must visit during monsoon. There are numerous waterfalls in this area. Be mindful during the visit as it gets very much crowded during weekends. The entire drive from Kanhe to Khandi is amazing.

It's inside around 25 KM from old Mumbai highway ..took around 2.5 hours from Pimple Saudagar.

We did not go to actual Khandi point and returned from the lake on the way it was a big one and had very scenic beauty

Road conditions were okay type.

Narrow roads so drive carefully and give way to big vehicles else you may create traffic jams.

Good options are limited , to enjoy waterfalls there are many on the way but a bit far from roads ..safest option is to use jahtap waterfalls by paying 100 RS per heads ..a bit expensive but doable as it is in proper area ..we always wished to pay but have some proper arrangements so it's good to use that one.

Don't drink and drive you may find cops on the way and do the try to.swim in the lake it's is dangerous.

This is the waterfall i can say its very near to Pune by Road. its a nature's Gift.
Neednt walk much from Car parking itself. Moreover the route and the place has no Town/city influence and one can Enjoy the nature. Water is Tasty to the best and the Falls is too Good with reasonable pressure-Fall so that you don't Fall down. One should Enjoy the homeFood near the Falls very affordable. One can see number of falls Enroute and park and Enjoy some water spots on the way to chill-up.

There are actually two waterfalls on this route (in fact plenty, but only two major ones where you can drench yourself). One is paid, its in a private property, lady charges around 50-100 bucks per person and the other is further down another 20 kms. Both the waterfalls are extremely good and the entire route is extremely scenic. And the fact that this is so close to pune makes them even more alluring!

This is an excellent place to visit in the monsoons. The whole road from Kanhe to Khandi is dotted with waterfalls, some high some low. Please bear in mind these are seasonal waterfalls and start from July to September. Own vehicle is preferred as local transport is less and not comfortable.
