This trek is recommended for people who are already familiar with trekking .
It requires good fitness to cross that last 1 km inclined Rocky stretch else there can be chances of dizziness, injury.
1. Good shoes
2.Ample ORS, water .
3. Avoid monsoon time if you are a novice beginner
4. Carry energy bars.
5. Always follow the instructions of villagers while crossing river.

Place is extremely beautiful
The trek is not very friendly, dangerous turns, protruding rocks and not at all advisable for the elders.
No proper walking road causes dangers.
Most of the people get shoes torned and there is no shops or anyone selling it, and hence people have to walk barefoot causing them injuries, the panchayat should look into this. Dont take guide there as there are shops for tea and pav to guide way.
Try to reach there max by 9am so that you can enjoy the weather, and preferred is rainy season only as the waterfall has no water during summers.
No washrooms on the entire trekking path and people have to do in open

Devkund waterfall trek is incredibly known for most beautiful waterfall in history so I have recorded it’s beauty through sky. This video will blow your mind after you see my drone shots.
I have taken all the scenes of every scenic spots where can't go so i took very dangerous risk to fly my drone in between mountains, rain, foggy atmosphere, heavy wind only for you all...

This place is really a god's and nature's creation. The waterfall looks like falling in a vessel. SO the name must have been derived Devkund waterfall. Its a 2 hrs drive from Pune to the place.

The best time is to visit the site between September end and October end. This is the time when you will really see the waterfalls. Attached are few photos clicked during the visit on 10/October.

The best way to reach is to tag along with the organizing group, you will find a lot starting from Pune and Mumbai for around 1399 INR. The trek starts from a village named Patnus and is a 7 KM (2hrs approx. depend on your pace) long trek through the jungle, while the trek is largely flat terrain there are two spots that have a good climb. Good shoes and water are a must. On your way back you will have a few walkway side hawkers selling light snacks and water. Carry some sunscreen and some snacks for a quick bite.

I suggest starting early at around 5.30 - 6 AM to reach there early and avoid the crowd.

The beauty of Devkund waterfall is truly worth the last 30 minutes grind to reach there.

We were a friends group and started from Mumbai in our private car. The ride on Mum-Pune Expressway is smooth but turns tumultous once you leave the highway snaking through the pothole strewn roads leading up to Bhira (the base village). We went in monsoons, so the locations along the way were picturesque and since there was no hurry to reach, we cruised along.

There is ample parking space available at the base. However, when we reached, the parking was full. The locals allow parking in front of their huts [for a charge of course ;)] and the charge per vehicle is Rs.100. There is a check-point where they take a fee of Rs.50 per person at the start and take down your name and allot a number (guess this would be to keep a track of all people visiting in case there is a search party to be sent).

As there was a huge crowd, we did not take a guide and followed the beeline of people right from the start to the end and back. However, if you happen to go during an off-season or weekdays, it is advisable to hire a guide for Rs.100 since few of the trails are treacherous and may cause one to get lost in the forest.

The trek takes about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on your speed with largely barren land walking. It passes through various small streams with ropes tied across and takes only a simple level strength to pass through. Further, there are locals stationed at these streams, ropeways as well as at strategic locations across the trail to guide trekkers in the right direction. There are few shops selling maggi, vapa pav and tea along the way but it is highly recommended that you take your own food. Only the last half hour feels like an actual trek when you will have to climb upwards through a dense jungle which completely hides the majestic waterfall at the end. Infact, you hear the waterfall first before seeing it and it will completely mesmerize you since it suddenly appears through the foliage.

There is a rope boundary tied at a safe distance from the actual waterfall and since people have died doing stunts, it is advisable to adhere to the rules. The depth is around 60 feet deep where the water actually falls but there are rocks about 20-25 metres away where you can sit and clicks lovely photos.

We nursed our unknown leg muscles while returning back, which again took about 2 hours and returned to Mumbai the same day.

The entire trek can be completed in a day. Take your own food and water. Take a mobile cover since rains can go crazy here..

We started our journey (two couples) at 07:15 am from Pune in a car. After stopping for breakfast on the way, we reached base village Bhira at 10:00 am. One has to pay car parking fees of Rs. 100 and another fee of Rs. 50 per person before starting the trek. This additional fee is a token amount used by local villagers since they put in efforts towards crowd management and safety. The trek passes through beautiful backwaters of the Bhira dam. The trek for most parts passes through plain terrain with green vegetation all around. It follows the Kundalika river which is very picturesque. We stopped to click pictures at multiple places. There are places where the terrain is uphill especially at the end. At many places one has to cross small streams. Local villagers have ensured there are guides posted at all tricky places and ropes are placed to help trekkers cross rivulets, streams and help climb slightly steaper paths.
The one way trek took us 2 hours. At the end of the trek we witnessed one of the most beautiful waterfall fall. The waterfall is serene and mesmerizing. One forgots all the difficulties witnessed during the climb once the waterfall is infront of your eyes. There is a small pond naturally created at the waterfall where once can enter the cold water and relax. Villagers have placed safety rope in this pond to ensure visitors do not enter the deep area.
On the return journey we had to face slight drizzle. There are 5-6 small temporary shelters which serve tea, maggie, mineral water and bhajiya. The return journey again took 2 hours and we were very tired at the end of the trek.
There is also bathroom and changing room facility available at the parking point.
For us it was a tiring yet a very wonderful experience.
