We had a 2 hour tour with Padmij on Sat 14 Mar, just as the world started to go crazy with Covid-19, and on our last day before cutting our tour of India short and heading home to NZ.
It was a great tour, and Padmij was most gracious, knowledgable and a good host. Because of the situation, my daughter and I were the only people on the tour, so it was in effect a private tour. Padmij gave us lots of history and local knowledge and was great to chat to.
And the food was great too!
Would recommend.

this format of a walking tour, is very popular in Europe and is real value for money (there). this was my first 'Free'walking tour, and so while I was visiting Benares (Varanasi) for work, I decided to explore the ghats with someone more knowledgeable..... I was contacted by RJ after registering with Yo tours, and he was on time at the rendezvous, and a very helpful and polite young man he is indeed. As there was no one else along , owing to the infernal heat, it must have been about 42 degrees in the shade, we both ambled along the ghats , with him narrating stories about the places we crossed. It was a good experience for sure. However, please do not compare with the standards that you have in Europe. Take it at face value, enjoy the hospitable friendliness and the local flavour of information and your evening is well spent. All the best to young RJ for his career plans ahead.

We did a tour with Gaurav and Koustunh as our guides. Both were friendly, knowledge and we enjoyed spending time with them. They gave us a tour of the area as we were walking between locations which was an added bonus!
We visited 5 locations and most things we tried were foods we had not had before. They were all great choices and it was good to hear that places selected were clean and hygienic and didn't use water as an ingredient (good for Western stomachs!). It was also nice that we were able to sit down in some of the stops. We will definitely return to some of the places we went to!

We decided to take a food tour round Pushkar to hopefully learn a bit about the city whilst sampling the local food. We did get to sample the local food, which was excellent and well described, however we felt a bit uncomfortable as the guide was not allowed to eat with us. There was also little else to the tour other than moving from one food stop to the next, which felt quite rushed. Our guide, however, was really nice and answered all our questions. Overall a good tour, but not the best we've been on.

We booked a pune food tour the day before it was due to take place (it was due to occur in the afternoon).
In the morning we received a message from yo tours saying that no guides were available but asking us to ‘hold on and wait’ while they confirmed. So, we waited, and heard nothing from them. I chased multiple times to then be told that they were trying to rearrange for the evening.
By this point we had been waiting, wasting hours of our precious time to understand what was going on.
Again, we received no further confirmation of anything about an evening tour until I chased them again.
In the end I requested that the tour booking be cancelled (it was already evening by this point) and that we be refunded.
It has now been over a week, and despite chasing again, multiple times, I still have not received a refund.
Awful service, time wasters and scammers. I actively encourage you to avoid this company.

The Chennai food tour we booked was confirmed but the guide didn’t turn up, we messaged and was told the tour had been cancelled with no notice. They had rescheduled for 5pm the same day. We arrived just before 5 and I messaged to say we were there only to be told that was also cancelled. Very poor communication and disappointing we had wasted so much time and money getting to the start point twice in one day.

I booked a free walking tour of Pune for myself and my father. It was my first time visiting the city and I was really looking forward to exploring the history of Shanivarwada. The tour was supposed to start at 10 am and I got a confirmation email asking to be present at least 15 minutes before the appointed time.
We reached the location well in advance and got a little worried when there was no guide and no communication from yo tours even after 10.
I tried to contact them on the phone numbers mentioned in the emails and on their website. But neither was answered. I even wrote them an email, asking them to contact me. Frustrated and drained, we left from there at 10:30 and saw a few things on our own.
The first piece of communication from them was three and a half hours later. It was an SMS, apologising for 'the confusion regarding the meeting point and time' and since their guide was 'unable to connect with me' because there was some 'confusion' (about what?). This was ridiculous. My contact information, phone, email, everything was filled out while registering. besides, the meeting point and time were clearly mentioned on the website and in the confirmation email. The least they could have done is apologise for the no show. Instead, they tried to blame it on the operations team.

We did two YoTours so far; one in Jaipur with Sha and one in Delhi with Ritesh. Both guys are skilled guides and they make the most out of the tour. Thanks guys for showing and telling all those beautiful things about your country!

Well worth the time. I‘ve see cultural, historical and religious locations and tasted the superb cuisine. I also get to know the spirituality of India with its beautiful temples and the history behind it. The market was also fascinating.
