A large table like plateau. You can stand at any part of the plateau and enjoy a sunset or sunrise. The guides told us that the whole table land is 6 kms. We landed around 5, so we could not walk the whole of it. We saw the valleys around from different points. I recommend that anyone visiting should take out time to visit it twice. At sunrise and at sunset and walk as much, as you like. Those who can't walk as much, there are horse rides and carts available. The plateau is very beautiful in itself, the valley views awesome, best place to take pictures. Must see at punchagani and worth visiting again.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 December 2023
- LeoPune, India8 contributionsGood vantage pointsThere are a few vantage points on the edge of the flat land. The views are pretty good from there. The entire land is about 6.5 kilometres so if you plan on checking out all points, you might have to rent a horse / horse cart. But if you just want to checkout one point, you can easily do it by walking. There are a few cave restaurants as well.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 31 January 2024

- Adarsh RMumbai, India135 contributionsTop of the world!Nice place to visit and have a beautiful sunset experience. Don't miss the house ride tour across the table top. There are two caves tiger and lion. We even trekked from panchgani market to table top the following morning. The views of the sangam and forts from the top is breath taking! Not to missVisited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 24 March 2024
- EffectiveAtulMumbai, India55 contributionsTable Land at PanchganiIt's one of the various tourist-spots in Pancgani. We reached around 5.30 in the evening. It's a huge plateau. Hired a horse buggy for Rs 500 to go around the entire area. We bargained and brought it down from Rs 800. There are two caves here which are named as Pandavas Cave. We finished after the sunset, which was the best and calming site. There is nothing much to do here. You can bargain big time with horse carts.in fact you can also cover all the points on foot.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 April 2024

A motley of horse hirers descending on you. A plethora of face readers that irritate you. A poor collection of stalls that sell food and souvenirs. That's what you'll encounter here. However, on the plus side you do have some scenic views. If you walk a bit further you come to a small lake (?) although this is mostly used to bathe the horses. There is also a horse cart ride that takes you to the Pandava caves, although I preferred to trek it there. All in all poorly maintained and a bit disappointing.

Also known as Asia Plateau, the Table Top is the second largest plateau in Asia after the Tibetan plateau. Over the years nothing has changed around the area. The old shops line the pathway that leads to the table top. One can choose to walk or choose your option between a horse ride or a horse buggy ride. The horse buggy costs Rs. 600 for 4 people and will take you to 3-4 points around the table top. There's a cave at one end of the plateau but the buggies are not allowed there. Only if you choose to ride a horse. Many Bollywood movies have been picturised here and the horse buggy rider will tell you the name of the movies. There are the Pandavas footsteps embossed in the plateau. And a cave that's called the Devil's Kitchen. If you fancy to get your face or hand read and know your future then there are face/hand readers who will approach you. Or have an icecream cone while the sun beats down with cool wind blowing... There's ample of free parking space so no worries about that. Overall, a great place to spend some time. The best time ofcourse, will be the Sunrise and Sunset!

A place where wind flows without any boundaries. Great quality of oxygen. Ideal to visit in the evening with sun set beauty.
The cave below is okay place to visit once if you visit there. Nothing great. The stairs taking you to the cave are quite old and dangerous.
A flock of many monkeys will entertain you with their hunting for food.

Have visited his place multiple times. It is a flat table land where you can do horse or cart riding or just walk from one end to another. Each side has a different view to offer. If you are a movie bluff, you will be surprised that a lot of movies are shot here (just ask a local guide). Has other places of interest such as caves, pandav chulha etc. But do visit this place for a beautiful sunset. There is a small pond on top and it was beautiful to see the reflection of setting sun. Clean and well maintained. Some points do not have fencing done, so need to be careful with kids.

When have travelled the place in the months of august in wich it was a heavy rainfall season. So, frankly speaking we were not able to enjoy all the place especially my mom(she just got obbsed with lot of rain water) but with thetable land it was worth it little different experience really harsh winds, seeing the anti gravity water at the edges and the scary tunnel. It ia a must visit place to at every season and the thing i regret was that I wish i would have played foot ball there. Yes, football with has rain they have big goals you just need to carry footall and some player( who are daring enough).

Cars can be parked only at the entrance of the Table land. From there you have to either walk or ride a horse to see the points. Even horse carts travel only for a short distance. Riding a horse is not comfortable for all. Secondly, the horse ride has 2 types of packages. (Below are off season rates)
1) Rs 1280 for 4 points
2) Rs 2500 for 9 points.
We opted for the package with 4 points which included points like one tree (Raja Hindustani fame) and one talav (Bajirao Mastani fame). Now both these points were shown to us from far away.
This type of cheating will definitely affect tourism.

Table Land:
One of Asia's greatest mountain-top flatlands is Table Land, a 98-acre flat plateau that forms Panchgani's highest point. Mahabaleshwar, which is only a few kilometers distant, also boasts two flat areas, but neither is as large or as open as Panchgani's Table Land. Table Land offers unhindered sunrise and sunset views, sweeping valley views, and endless views of the beautiful fir trees.
Table Land is a popular Bollywood shooting spot. Many movies like Raja Hindustani, Mela, Taare Zameen Par, and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam are shot at this place. It is just walkable from the main Panchgani Market, but even though there is a proper motorable road, it is a steep climb.
Table land area has 5 points in total viz Table land, Shooting Point, Pandava's Footprints, Devil's Kitchen and One Tree Point.
To be honest it is just a flat land and dirt! Nothing else!
